I pass through this Mall every few weeks or so. My experience with this Qdoba has been favorable. Most recent visit, staff were exceedingly friendly, and helpful. Food was on par with other Q's. I like that the counter isn't as deep into the cafeteria court as some of the other establishments.
A new Qdoba in the mall. Service was standard (I was only one in line so no measure of speed) but servings were somewhat smaller than a Qdoba closer to work… still, nice to have in the area.
Would-be franchisees, keep in mind that this chain is doomed. Even if I don't understand the fanaticism for Chipotle, I can't imagine how Qdoba intends to compete with Chipotle or even Moe's.
I've been to the Newport branch at least twice without any notably good or bad cuisine. But the worst part is the absence of pinto beans. This is a basic weapon in the Mexican chain arsenal; we're not talking about truffles.
