  1. Cute little store in FiDi neighborhood: every visit is very homy. I like their almond cappuccino with slightly toasty taste. But I can't appreciate their soy latte: beans a bit over toasted and sweetness of soy milk is missing. (Soy milk is usually slightly sweet from other places. Not sure why this one just taste like a bad milk..)

I'll come back for almo cap but not soy latte.

  2. R&R is my go-to when I'm in Fidi since Blue Spoon is never open on the weekends… it's a solid coffee shop with tasty almond croissants and good iced and hot coffees. Milks and sugars are provided on the counter and you're good to go. My boyfriend got an extremely high score on the Doodle Jump game while sitting in this store after he had a latte, so I thought I'd note that here as he was very proud. Fellow Doodle Jumpers, may you have the best of luck repeating the experience at R&R.

  3. Great little coffee spot that's open on weekends with marble counter tops and a cheeky sign out front.  FiDi is lacking in the gourmet coffee area so I was happy to come across R&R.

Friendly staff brewed me a quick and efficient latte.  A little bit of a bummer that they charge extra for soy and almond milk. It's not my fault dairy and I don't get along.

There is also a decent selection of baked good and lunch/brunch options. Nothing super healthy so think pastries and breads.

Seating here is pretty open and on a Sunday morning, I had no issue finding a nice window seat.

  4. Very laid back spot. There isn't a lot of seating but I'm glad I got a table since I didn't want something to go… I was hoping for more bagel options. They only have either butter or plain cream cheese, but the bagel was good anyway. I ordered a chai latte and it has a different, and in my opinion better, than Starbucks. It has a little bit more of a kick and isn't as bland. A customer was playing a guitar and nobody was bothered by it. It actually kind of gave it more of an authentic vibe if anything. The only reason I wasn't extremely happy is because I really wanted a bagel with lots of toppings and unfortunately it isn't a good place for that. I would come back if I pass it again for the chai though.

  5. Got to come back to R&R in this blistering cold…. tried out an irish cream latte…which they have listed as cappuccino but made mine into a latte.  great taste, not too sweet, it was just pure perfection.  I wish is a bit hotter…but that would be my only complaint!  R&R can be on the pricey side for me, so it's an occasional treat for me…but I will always come back….

  6. Decent coffee shop that I frequent because I work close by.

Last several times I've been here looks like they've been brewing Toby's Estate. I usually order a flat white which usually is made well – spot on milk:espresso ratio and texture…although not quite as good as buying from Toby's Estate directly. Prices are reasonable too – cheaper than getting your caffeine at Starbucks. But my favorite part of this place is that they sell Dough donuts in the mornings! In general, I'm not a big fan of buying Dough at any location outside of their Clinton Hill/Bed-Stuy or their Flatiron spots because they just don't taste as soft/fluffy…but the Dough offerings here are generally pretty fresh (I'm guessing because of its relatively close to their Flatiron spot). Service has always been friendly and they take credit card which is convenient. Wouldn't call this a destination spot, but a nice option for coffee or a pastry if you work in the area!

  7. I admittedly am not a big coffee snob. Im fine with Starbucks or the corner bodega or the office Keurig machine. Its more fuel for me than anything else but was in area on Xmas eve with my friend who happens to be a Barista so she wouldnt allow a quick Dunkin hit thus we came here.  I still went with a regular brewed coffee and not some foofoo half caf double shot foam blah blah hipster concoction. It was a good cup of Joe. Strong which is the most important thing to me. I added those two things that seem foreign to new age coffee drinkers, milk and sugar (remember when Michael Scott just drank milk and sugar in a thermos on The Office) and I got the caffeine fuel to get through the family holiday.  Had a doughnut too, it had coconut and was really thick and cake like and was like a meal but tasted pretty good.  Ms Barista got some Americano thing and was happy with it.
Place is cool looking, help was fast and friendly.

  8. in the neighborouh it's a convenient place if you want to avoid the chains.
I had a piece of cake which wasn't that good. The bagels and donuts are really big but I didn't have the chance to taste them.
I was there for an appointment. There are few tables. At the beginning the mood was ok but then with no reason they increase the volume of the background music, it was terrible.
I will not go back there unless I have no choice. It's a pity because people otherwise are very nice
