  1. Been here a few times now since it's down the street from me. The coffee is really good, and they have almond milk and stevia, which are always bonuses for me. The pastries are delicious and they always seem to have something new! I just tried the brunch the other day and got the bacon, egg and cheese on a baguette. It was really good and not overly heavy/filling. They give you a little bag of almonds with it, too, which is nice. The staff is always very friendly and the shop is very quaint. It's a tad pricey for the area but is good for an occasional treat.

  2. I recently moved up to New Rochelle from Brooklyn for love (yay) however, I was lamenting the loss of Brooklyn cool (boo). Lo and behold a beacon of light appeared before me in the form of R Patisserie. I had noticed this place before had always thought of coming in but hadn't gotten around to it yet. I'm so glad I did. Super cute on the inside–well appointed with cozy chairs and tables.  I got the cafe au lait and this shortbread cookie caramel sandwich thing. OMG—Soooo good. I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with myself at RPCTB.

  3. Super-friendly place.
Adorable tables and settings, lots of students working on their laptops.
Super-friendly owner, too. Everything for the customers – with a smile.
View of the sunny street outside, and relaxing music.

Coffee, with soy, was just what I needed – and delicious fresh flaky croissant.

    Loved it.
Great stop to take a break while driving or come and relax if you work in the area.

  4. Great little cafe that makes you feel super cozy. A bit over priced (small cappuccino and a small Evian bottled water for $8). Weird thing though, today I got a large cappuccino and a Evian water  and it was $7…price changes daily perhaps? Idk.

The staff are friendly, cafe is clean, vibe is nice. Always busy. Great hours I might add. 🙂

Overall a nice place to come. The cappuccinos are delicious and the almond croissants are a bit dry- but good.

Oh! Free wifi and the window area is the perfect place to sit back, relax and write a great novel.

  5. Great Chai Is Hard To Find!
On the hunt again, for great Chai. What a gorgeous café. What grabbed me was their appearance. What a remarkable café it is with a cosmopolitan feel to be in during the freaking arctic chill!

R Patisserie is a really fantastic and uncommon experience in the lower Westchester area. Exterior is cute with an old-fashioned pin stripe awning. When inside, I did a double take. You actually mean that lower Westchester (New Rochelle) is capable of offering a funky spot? Fu*k yeah!

In my eyes, I was transported to a modern take of cozy and funky farmhouse and a French cottage all a meshed into one fabulous end result. Interior is dimly lit, yet airy with an intimate feel. Inside, you find 3 two-seater round tables on the right, towards the left, you'll find a large rectangular "dinner" style table with two funky sofas that followed to lounge in.

I made myself comfy and sashayed my way up to their counter. R Patisserie has their Tea menu (as well as their coffee) up above in what seems like a blackboard. I was amazed by the full range of delicious sounding teas. I went for my usual Chai that was poured in a large mug. Their style of Tea, was even tastier with a cinnamon stick dancing in my Chai. Beautifully done! And a warmed Chocolate Croissant (o…k… It's bread and wasn't supposed to eat it because of Lent. But what about the chocolate? Couldn't leave that out!).

I'm still amazed by the aesthetics of R Patisserie. John, made my experience worthwhile til the end. While there, I struck a conversation with some locals and got a feel of quaintness. Since I was a newbie to R Patisserie, he offered me an alfajor commonly found in Spain and some Latin American countries (imagine a short-bread type cookie sandwiched with dulce de leche. Mmmmmm), at no cost. Thank you, it was delicious.

(Another location I can check off my Bookmark List).

Energy was so inviting, I really didn't want to leave, but the fact that R Patisserie is in New Rochelle- with its funky energy, it just simply rocks. And by the way, it's so totally accessible to my people in the Bronx to get to!

Without mentioning, R Patisserie's goal(s) is to provide a fine café experience right in New Rochelle. Total awesomeness!

  6. On the way to Larchmont, we decided to take a quick detour to get some much needed coffee. I was in charge of finding somewhere to go, and while this was a slightly out of the way (and by slightly I mean in the complete opposite direction) it was definitely worth the set back!

We were worried that we wouldn't be able to park and run in, but there was no need for that! There were tons of spots on either side of the road giving us the perfect opportunity to practice our parallel parking skills.

Inside: the coffee shop is absolutely adorable. A bit small but enough room for some tables perfect to hold a lap top and/or books to study, some couches and lounge chairs. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their coffee and company.

The barista: it's a one man shop, the same person taking your orders and ringing up the bill makes your coffee so you end up waiting a bit, but each cup of coffee is made perfect to order. I was a bit disappointed, I ordered a latte hoping to get a cute design with the milk – but didn't. Over all the coffee was delicious.

I didn't try the baked goods, but they looked great! Maybe next time!

  7. I was soooooooo thrilled to find this cafe in New Rochelle, where I recently moved to.  It's perfect in every way- intimate seating, romantic cafe tables as well as overstuffed couches to nestle into with your honey so you feel like you're having coffee in your living room (except it looks a lot better than your living room), friendly and down-to-earth service that is enthusiastic about you being there, and of course a great selection of coffee, tea, croissant and other pastry.  Expect to pay almost $5 for a pastry like in the city, but you will feel like you ARE in the city, except better.  Because it's New Rochelle, and there are no crowds and people are happy, especially me. 🙂

  8. A very cute little spot that looks perfect for a quick breakfast, to get some work, or meet for a coffee date. On this particular day, the bf and I were here for the first, food & coffee! I ordered a chai latte, spinach & tomato quiche and got a juice, he ordered a breakfast sandwich and juice. This came to a pretty hefty sum for breakfast so it won't be our go-to spot but I would like to come back and try more.
The quiche was adorable, came in a personal pot-pie type deal and was delicious. My chai was also wonderful, complete with a cinnamon stick, but wasn't very hot to begin with so quickly got cold. And it did take a while to come out. Our food came out faster than my drink which was odd.
Great spot with a friendly staff!
