Pat, I would like to buy a vowel…so I can figure out if RBBTS is named after furry creatures, the sound a frog makes, or mispelled electronic humanoids. No matter, this place is hoppin'. Although the establishment is the size of a small warren (sup to my Watership Down fans), they serve generous portions. Their original sandwiches are good sized and their salads, mountainous. The ingredients are all fresh to death and unique from your run of the mill healthy options.
Heavenly, perfect portions and a selective, tailored menu. Rbbts is every bit as good as my coworkers led me to believe.
The ambiance is warm, cozy, and inviting, and the staff is equally as kind. Nothing on the menu looked anything short of yummy.
It's a very cute little cafe that I stumbled upon for lunch one afternoon. The place is a little on the smaller scale, so I wouldn't recommend large groups. One of the server there was extremely sweet and nice. We decided to try "The Jerk" sandwich, which is known to be one of their more popular sandwiches. It consists of shredded chicken with a kick of spice to it. We also ordered the BBQ Chicken Nachos which I thought was interesting, as well as the Fresh Cut Fries. The fries could be some of the best that I've ever had. It was just a perfect combination of saltiness and crisp. Like I told my fellow Yelpers, I would definitely like to revisit one day and maybe try some of their other sandwiches as well as other items on the menu such as their breakfast, burgers and Smoothies.
So disappointed with this place.
The French toast was hidden under a huge amount of cinnamon.
The water was served in a metal pot, without any glass. Are there some people who like to drink water like that?
And the orange juice came in a Tropicana plastic bottle with a plastic glass…
Better go to Amy's bread not that far away for a freshly squeezed orange juice.
Tucked away on a street in Soho is this small restaurant with food that packs a very big punch. You'd walk by it a millions times and not notice it, but I'm sure glad I came by.
When I say it's small, I mean its small. There are a handful of tables and they are close together. But once you get past this, and have the food, it's well worth it.
I came here for lunch and ordered the jerk chicken sandwich and a side of carrots that are marinated in butter and brown sugar. Man oh man was that sandwich delicious. The jerk seasoning was more authentic than most places claiming to offer jerk chicken, and it had he right amount of spice. The sandwich was also pretty big with a large amount of chicken. The carrots were delicious as well. The combination of the two made for a truly amazing lunch.
This place is a must. Clearly there's a heavy focus on food quality, and it really shows. Again, the small size may be off putting, but the food is well worth it.
Awesome, tiny little place with the friendliest staff and biggest tin mugs with iced water you've ever seen. The late was amazing and so was the American omelette platter. The New Yorker as a sandwich was also pretty good, loved the fresh spinach but wasn't quite as good as the American platter.
Tiny (and I mean tiny – seats about 8 with no extra legroom for servers to walk by) cafe type spot with delicious and affordable, freshly prepared food. That being said, if you decide to dine in, your food will take a while to come out.
For our table we ordered two breakfast plates, tomato soup with half grilled cheese, jerk chicken sandwich, and a side of mexican style corn with coconut mayo.
The breakfast platters were hearty, fresh, and yummy, probably the best bang for your buck.
The tomato soup is amazing considering the fact that they don't use any cream/dairy. It's chunky and flavorful, and the serving is huge. The grilled cheese was good, flavorful and crunchy.
The jerk chicken sandwich was also packed with flavor and extremely spicy. I've haven't had many jerks to compare it to but it was good.
The coconut mayo on the grilled corn was such an interesting twist on the typical street style corn but it worked so well.
Service was friendly and I enjoy the atmosphere of this cozy shop, but nothing was mind blowing enough to draw me back. It's a cafe that makes really solid food
This tiny, tiny joint in SoHo doesn't need publicity or loud attention, the food speaks for itself! The dining room seats maybe 10 at most, so be prepared to wait a bit if you come when the room is full. Fortunately our wait was really short.
The place is staffed with one server, and has a tiny kitchen, but the food that comes out of there is divine. My sandwich had honey ham, swiss, granny smith apples, and mustard on cranberry pecan bread–YUM. It was enormous, too! Our server was really sweet and very attentive to keep waters full and checked in on us without being overbearing. The food specials looked pretty great too–a variety of tater tots, kale salads with eggs, fish tacos, etc. There's something here for everyone.
I'm not often in the SoHo neighborhood anymore, but if I am when I've got a hankering, I'd hop over here again. (Get it? Because rabbits hop? ha!)
