You are better off eating at Taco Bell than here for Mexican food.
The place has a nice parking lot (shares it with Pathmark, McDonalds, and a pizza place), and the wait staff seemed decent, but had some trouble getting water, needed to send out SOS signals and light flares apparently.
The food is atrocious. I've only visited once, so ofcourse there is a small sample size bias here, but I wouldn't want to take a second chance here. Everything seemed watered down and pretty much tasteless. There didn't seem to be any distinct flavor to any of the food we ordered and seemed pretty much microwaved from the frozen section of your local grocery.
I'm a vegetarian, so I can't say much for the meat options, but their veggie options were terrible. The Quesadilla was horrible and soggy like it rained on the way from the kitchen to the table, with anything and everything falling out. And it tasted extremely bland. The Burrito was horrible as well, tasted bland as well. The prices are ridiculous for this kind of food, and you are better of buying some tortillas and dipping them in store bought salsa than going here. There are some other good places for Mexican food in Yonkers (although none that are in close proximity to this one) so most people are better off going somewhere else.
Been here several times over the last few years now. Large space, plenty of seating. Service has always been fine. Pretty good food & margaritas & quite reasonably priced. The place isn't anything fancy, but it is a good option in the area.
The only positive points I could really find with this place is that they have a lot of parking, service is great, and the interior of the restaurant looks cute. But I'm honestly not too crazy about the food. It wasn't terrible – it was just a little bland. I had sangria and it wasn't balanced well enough for me. All in all, I don't think I'd come back again.
My husband and I are frequent diners at this restaurant. Their drinks are huge, the food is fresh and the staff is very accommodating. The Guacamole al Molcajete is prepared to order, tableside, which is very refreshing. They start you off with chips and fresh salsa and I have to say our fav meals are the fajitas. My husband get the steak and I ALWAYS get the seafood ones. We have had other dishes, and as I said, their food is so fresh but the heart wants what the heart wants and I always run back to my fajitas :oD
Went here with my wife we were in the mood for Mexican food. My wife gotta a white wine sangria which wasn't that great I asked them if they had fruit punch the waitress said yes and she gave me a drink that tasted like guava juice and it was ok. I ordered the Puebla meal and it was average at best. The guacamole is very good though and my wife got the chicken enchiladas and they were ok a little on the salty side. The beans weren't warm and rice was ehhh. This place isn't horrible but if you want good Mexican food you go to south yonkers
First time here and it was good. Service was really slow though and I had to go hunting for the server just to get the check. I had a chorizo in wine sauce appetizer with a quesadilla. Both were nice. I wish they had more options with chorizo on their menu though.
Pro's
– Great Drinks
– Traditional Atmosphere
– Excellent Customer Service
– The Guac is outstanding
– The chimichanga was pretty good
Con's
– The food is overpriced ($16 for plain tacos)
– Avoid the tacos (soggy, plain, no seasoning) – I could have made better ones myself at home
– The fondue appetizer isn't actually fondue
– Overall, the food was good, but not enough where you feel the need to tell people about it
Absolutely the best Mexican Food in the area. I had the Enchiladas Tres Amigos which were all delicious. My daughter had the chicken 'nuggets' which were really chicken cutlets with fries – fries were really good. Mom had the crispy beef tacos (I tried one… Really good flavor!!)
I really want to give this place 5 stars but the service really lacked. I asked for an extra round of chips n salsa and never got them. Also, I had to ask 3 different waiters for a refill on my soda before I got it…. That irritates me. 4 1/2 stars from me!
