  1. A combination of Underwest donut and stumptown coffee? I'm in for sure. Dropped by after a short run in the morning and all I wanted was some decent iced latte. Rebel definitely nailed it. Well balanced flavor, refreshing feeling, cool ambience, guess it just worked perfectly!

Rule of thumb – can never go wrong in west village for coffee!

  2. Location: west village, west village, west village.
Yeah, this place is small, too small to be noticed.
Inside, there are few seats for a short stay.

    They do have wifi
They have lots of bakery choices

Their staff can be nice but some are…

i had cold brew, which made by Stumptown beans. I dislike cold brew made of Stumptown beans .. Stump town beans are good for latte, but if you actually taste it, the beans are roasted too much, giving a burnt taste/

So the cold brew experiecen was pretty much ruined

For local neighborhood, this place may be a good one. But compared to other places, I only felt like this place deserves a 3 star.

  3. Fantastic new West Village coffee shop! A wonderful addition to the west side caffeine scene. Simultaneously quaint yet buzzing with the bustling energy of the village. Serving delicious stumptown coffee and a homey, simple and vibrant ambiance!

Definitely adding to my list of go-to's in the city!

  4. Local coffee spot on the border for the West Village & Chelsea.

Limited coffee & tea menu but they do artisan beverages.  They don't do DECAF!   They do offer sweets (didn't try them) donuts, etc.

The gal behind the espresso machine was extremely friendly and made an amazing Iced Matcha Green Tea!  She got a good giggle when I asked if they carried ice in the winter time.  I guess no ice in winter is a Wild West thing.

It's an intimate spot with 2 window seats, 2 seats at the bar, and a few 2 tops.  Seemed like a local joint.  The baristas knew many of the customers by name or order.  Most got their fix and then went to their computers.

If I get back to that 'hood; I'd stop by to try the coffee!

  5. Pretty cute place in the West Village. The woman at the counter was bubbly and humorous as she recommended donuts to try. She joked it's the best and worst thing since we might get addicted. My friend got the honey lavender and I took a bite, interesting herby flavor.

It was about 1 PM and I hadn't had coffee yet, so got a 16 oz drip which did the job and gave me a second wind. They brew Stumptown beans, it was pretty standard, mild tasting good coffee. Brew strength was a little watery and not as strong concentration as I like, but then again I'm used to Philz which is about 2x your regular coffee strength.

  6. 2 weekends ago, I traveled to New York for fun w/ friends. We were walking around 8th avenue and exploring West Village. We wanted to get a quick snack or drink. One of the girls wanted coffee bc we have been up since 7am exploring this city. We came across Rebel Coffee and checked on YELP to see if it was good. Since it had many good reviews, we decided to try it!

After entering, this  coffee shop reminded me of Starbucks, but more relaxing and home-y.  It is definitely more quiet compared to Starbucks! So, if you need a new place study… this could be the place to do so. The decor of the place is very modern too. The workers were really friendly and nice; good customer service.

I ordered a Macchiato and that was good!!! I am not a big expert when it comes to coffee, but it tasted good to me. My friends also ordered latte, hot chocolate, and mocha. They all said that their drinks were good too! All the drinks were under $5, so the pricing is really reasonable too.

I would def. come back here if I'm  in the area again!

  7. The cappuccino was fantastic in both taste and the art on top.  The barista was very helpful with helping decide on drinks and a light snack.  It was a little on the smaller side, but a very cozy place to grab a cup of coffee with a friend.

  8. Great cold brew, funny staff. Tiny space, though very cozy.
