  1. I like all you can eat sushi. A lot. I like it even more when it's under $20. However, I don't like all you can eat sushi that has no flavor – regardless of whether it's all you can eat or not. The food isn't BAD necessarily, it's just bland. All of my rolls tasted the same (like nothing) and I felt like I had to drench them in soy sauce, wasabi, spicy mayo, and ginger to get any flavor. I'll go back if someone else is paying, but I wouldn't suggest it nor would I spend my own money on it 😉

Also, I don't like that you can't order sashimi. They force you to get everything with rice (and eat all the rice – their rolls have a LOT of rice) because if you don't finish your rolls, you have to pay individually for whatever you don't finish. This is common for all you can eat sushi places, and I understand it – however you should have the option to get them without rice. I think it's a crappy gimmick to get you full quicker and it just makes me wrap the rice in a napkin and throw it out in the bathroom 😛 Every other all you can eat sushi place I've been to allows you to order sashimi, so that annoyed me. They don't have a wide selection of what's included in the AYCE, so with the amount of rice they give you, the selection they have, and the fact that their food tastes like nothing, I could spend the same amount of money on the same type of rolls anywhere else and leave just as full.

Other than that, the service is decent and quick. I like the pineapples they give you with your check, but that doesn't make up for my disappointment in their food.

  2. A solid 3.5! We stopped in for AYCE on a Wednesday afternoon. I was quite hesitant due to the green B grade posted on the door but this place came highly recommended so I held my head high and entered a mini sushi heaven. The restaurant was not packed which I didn't find surprising but it wasn't completely empty either. I really enjoyed my rolls. I had shrimp tempura, dragon, and a fried fish roll. I also had the crab Rangoon. My boyfriend wasn't a fan of the Rangoon but I enjoyed them. We both washed down our rolls with some sake. The service was friendly and attentive. Even though this place had a B as of 12/30/15, I'm
still alive and definitely would return. If you're in the area and enjoy AYCE Red Apple is definitely worth a try!
