Red Bowl

“Never ate inside here, but H used to bring me their Jade Fried Rice.”

“And pad Thai, the pad Thai sauce was a bit more on the saucy side than I was used to (compared to say Rhong Tiam) but the portion was good for $10 (dinner).”

“I Most recently tried the Crab Rangoon which had more cream cheese flavor than crab, but definitely satisfied my craving.”

Amazing food. Love their vegetable fried rice and also their Mei fun. Always had good service and serve food really fast. Very fair price with huge portions.

The food here is a step up from your standard takeout fare.

Last time I was here I ordered a wonton soup and General Tso lunch special. 8$ for the lunch special is a pretty good deal. The wonton soup was a little bit salty but it was fresh and had cabbage in it which I enjoyed. The wontons had a wonderful chive taste.

The General Tso chicken was actually spicy. I had to get my glass refilled with water a couple of times. It was cooked really well and wasn't greasy at all. Red Bowl is pretty good but here's some tips I would love to share with you guys based on my experience here:

    – take your order to go/call it in advance. I felt like I had to go beg for water on my hands and knees. I had to seat myself. Service at a restaurant should not feel like that. Pretty sure the owners son runs the front of the house. He's a nice kid usually. I guess I got him on a bad day.
    – it is about 2$ more than your average takeout place but their food is pretty good quality. For the first time I didn't feel greasy eating Chinese food.

Decent Chinese food but nothing special. I got the general tso which was pleasantly not-greasy tasting (an issue I have with many Chinese food restaurants). However, the portion size was pretty small. My friend got the bok choy side which was delicious – I would definitely recommend this. It is expensive for the portion sizes though…would probably not come back.

This is my go-to for Chinese delivery off of Seamless. Their fried rice is the BOMB. I usually get Yang Chow and they is a solid amount of meat, shrimp and egg in it which makes me happy. It also carries the delicate flavor of green onion which is one of my favorite things about fried rice and often missed at other places.

The entrees are tasty and a good size. Sometimes I feel like the fried dishes could be less battered and I wish the meat was better quality but I know that costs more! They offer a $1 uncharge for all-white meat so there's always the option. I also wish they had real egg rolls, because i'm not a spring roll fan…I usually get the crab rangoon as a substitute which are yummy, but mostly filled with cream cheese. Anyway, the food is good, delivery time and quality of food are reliable, so they get my business! (For now, muahahahahhaa….)

Warm welcoming eatery that bring both asian influence and history with a dash of Latin charm. The food was excellent! recommendation on the boneless spare ribs and Szechuan fried rice. The hospitality was priceless.
The owners both work and spend time with their patrons is what service is all about.
Will be coming back for sure!

The food was so yummy and great. I ordered the food and it was very quickly done with excellent service staff who works very hard. Definitely going to keep coming back to enjoy such an awesome food again and again.

Ordered Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup.
The pad Thai was really bland and the Tom yum soup was too sour.
Think this is the worse Thai food I've ever had in NYC.
The service staff were awesome but the food needs some serious improvement.
