  1. The only things I would recommend sampling at Red Pepper Deli are the beverages. Everything in the store is old and appears to be dusty. I mean, they sell Ritter Sport bars and other chocolates that are 12 months past the expiration dates.

I come here when I'm posted up with my friends across the street, and I'm feeling parched. They make a mean bottled beverage here! Seriously, don't ever be drunk and stumble into this 24-hour trap. You might mistakenly buy a sandwich, ancient bag of chips, or some other prepared food and end up hating your life.

Nothing in their prepared foods section looks fresh, or from this year. The beverages are overpriced, but when I'm playing monopoly and need a Volvic or Canada Dry seltzer, Red Pepper is always open. I will give them credit for having extensive walls of coolers, housing a variety drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to quench your thirst.

There's dust on the shelves and I purchased a bag of Terra chips (also expired, same visit as Ritter Sport incident), so I can only imagine what kind of things are floating around in the egg salad. Stick with the liquids, and maybe even then you should keep an eye out for a "sell by" date.
