  1. Ok maybe I'm being stingy. Just a bit. But I was charged $3.80 for a stinkin cookie.
    A c00kie. And it wasn't even good.

The coffee was good. I guess. I don't know.
I'm still upset about my $3.80 cookie.

  2. I don't understand how this place got great Yelp reviews. To start off, right when I walked in I smelled a strange armpit smell through the air. I had a coffee which wasn't anything special and the gluten free cookie was not only expensive but hard like a rock. I would not recommend this place.

  3. How should I describe Red Pipe cafe ? Perhaps something like run-down grungy snobbish and rude.

    Service: 0/5

Came here on a Saturday night and was utterly disturbed by the barista, who made us overly sweet drinks and said he was doing us a favor because he could've been home instead of serving us. It was 3 minutes from closing. But. That. Was. Just. Rude. Unsure of what just happened, allow me to explain in detail. First we paid more than nearly double for the hot chocolate, but the taste was only half as good, then we got hit with full blown passive aggressiveness.

  4. Went in this morning for a cup of coffee.  In NY for a few days, I'd been having cup after cup of disappointing Dunkin Donuts which I used to love.  Since having many a bougey $4-$5 drip coffee in LA, I guess my coffee palette has gotten more refined.  This review is only for the coffee.  It was a good cup of coffee and was reasonably priced.

When I walked in, it took a while for me to be greeted which wasn't a great first impression.  I was thinking of getting some food, too, but I was put off by being ignored for a bit so I just got a much needed cup of coffee to go and bounced out of there and drank it in the car!  When I was helped, the young lady who helped me was very nice.  I would go back for coffee next time I'm around the neighborhood again.

  5. Tried this spot for the first time on a late Sunday afternoon. I ordered a cappuccino, and then later ordered their tea to stay . The Capp was warm however the taste was strong. Just how I like it.  I must say that the tea was delicious ! Couldn't help it and I ordered a pot of their strictly strawberry tea right after . My seven year old daughter loved their oatmeal raisin cookie as well.  Liked to hear the soothing music in the background . My daughter kept telling me that we were having a tea gettogether! Will definitely be going back to try out their salads next time. Service was also good.

  6. Perfect little cafe with food.

Came in for a quick bite and to take the load off. Sandwich and soup was great

  7. Love this place!  Cozy and warm.  This has an extension of your grandma's living room feel.  You could tell all the furniture have been hand selected for its aesthetic and home ambience.  I came in with a friend for coffee and enjoyed it.  They have a great selection of scones. Not sure what the daily flavors are, but man are they excellent!

  8. I finally got to try this coffee spot and I saw the master barista at work and did he deliver . The coffee is a little sour but the art was beautiful . Cute little cafe
