Reservoir Bar
“The happy hour is 4-7pm with everything on draft being $3.50 and $4 wells.”
“I'm not into football, but seeing terrible towels and Steeler's-themed brews on draft makes this Pittsburgh girl feel warm and fuzzy and thirsty.”
“I've had most things on the menu – the waffle fries are great, the sandwiches are huge and tasty, but the wings are particularly awesome.”

This place is okay. Kinda grungy and divey, but nothing wrong with that. It's a good place for throwing back a couple of beers and the food is decent if you are hungry. No more, no less.
A group of us came to Reservoir Bar on Sunday around 2pm for Sunday Football. The bar wasn't very crowded. We got pitchers and bar food, including wings, waffle fries, and onion rings. Nothing to elaborate on the drinks (just your standard beer), so the review will be mostly about the food and the atmosphere.
We ordered basket of wings served with blue cheese dip, celery, and carrots. We chose buffalo, terriyaki, and honey garlic. My favorite was the terriyaki, although it had a bit of too strong soy-sauce after taste. The honey garlic was my least favorite – the sauce was lacking in flavors and tasted rather bland. The Waffle Fries and Battered Onion Rings were both crispy and fried well. The onion rings were thick and the batter was flavorful. I did feel like I got zits on my face after eating all the fried food though.
The crowd wasn't very rowdy, and the bar itself wasn't overly loud either. Definitely a place where you can sit and talk with the people in your group and still hear the conversation.
Came here to watch the Bama vs Ohio playoff game. Cheap, cheap drinks (sure, smaller glasses and plenty of ice-normal for NYC, but $5 instead of $12 or $15), and really good soft pretzels. Not the kind that taste like they just came out of a plastic wrapper. The TVs were everywhere, the music was good and all the noise was at the perfect level. Enjoyed it…will definitely come back to watch the nat'l championship! Side note: while sitting at the bar, I never once had trouble getting in touch with a bartender/waiter/waitress and ordering food or drinks. The service was good!
Chill dive bar with TVs and a happy hour special, no complaints.
We got together here with a group of 8 people for a drink on a Wednesday night and there was plenty of room. It's long and narrow toward front but opens up a little toward back.
"Simple and Easy"
With its proximity to Regal Cinemas, Reservoir is the perfect place to pick up a post movie beverage (depending on how good or bad the movie was). There is a huge selection of draft and bottle beers. Plus the prices of beer are pretty standard . . . for the area. The food mainly is of pub fair (wings, fries, tator tots, burgers, etc.).
Sometimes your day isn't going your way. Work was long. You stay late. You realize there's someone else's vomit on your clothing. You know, it's one of those days. Then you realize, it's FRIDAY!
That was me last weekend. I had no energy or desire for happy hour, I just wanted to crash. Not sleep, actually crash into my bed and lay there. Once again, not sleep. Just lay there, in fetal position, and cry like a baby. Once you get up, you shower and change. Finally you're ready to hit the town.
Upon getting into Manhattan, I was still a bit away from my friends who already started the evening. I didn't have time for that. I needed a drink, now! So we went to the closest place Yelp told me to go. Welcome to Reservoir Bar. This place is a diamond in the rough. Thank you Yelp!
The place has an old school charm that is rare in the city these days. Came in and there were tons of flat screens up on the walls. The only negative was it let me watch my Mets. Damn those Mets. A bit of a rustic look for the decor.
So what was this, a sports bar? A restaurant? It's a bit of both. We grabbed a seat in the back, and ordered up some grub. Nothing says hello to the weekend like a turkey club and a fat cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was one of the bigger ones I've had in a while, pretty good stuff. That turkey club though was phenomenal, one of the best. Saw their menu on the wall. It's filled with lots of other good sounding things I'd like to get myself into. Some of those wings sound great to have if you came here to watch a game.
I noticed while I was sitting down they had a picture of Neil O'Donnell up on the wall. Former Steelers/Jets QB. When I switched to the bar, I asked about it. The bartender told me how it's a Steelers bar. I guess I should have noticed the giant sign. He told me how O'Donnell came in for a Steelers playoff game, drank like a mad man in the first half, and then started serving the whole place in the second half. Funny stuff. The bartenders were real chill and friendly.
After finally catching my breathe and getting the work week off my mind, I was able to leave. Not before taking note of how awesome this place was. I was totally caught off guard.
Thank you Reservoir Bar, you brought me back to life. I'll be sure to come back, catch a game and try more stuff of that menu!
Pretty cool dive bar that me and my friends had a nice time @
Not sure if they were short staffed for a fri nite or what, but it was sometimes difficult to get the bartender's attention. We made it work though we had a pretty ok time. Good music was playing.
Went here after dinner with a group of pals and a girl in our group said that this was a good bar so we stopped by for a drink. Let me tell you we were presented with the WORST WAITRESS ON EARTH!!! I don't know how the food was since we only came here for some drinks…but we were IGNORED ALL NIGHT!!! It was the worst service I have ever had in my life!
We walked in and nobody really cared about us, we walked in further and the waitress saw us (Group of 6) and asked us if we needed a table…we literally stood in the middle of the bar with us as she tried to squeeze us in a table of 4….after she left we decided to move over to the lounge seat area since it would accommodate us and she said it was fine and was going to get our menus for us. LITERALLY 20-25 minutes passed and we still didn't get our menu while we saw her prancing around handing everyone else their menus. The one guy in our group got pissed off and walked up to her and told her she completely forgot our table, she apologized and said she would get it right away. 5-10 minutes passed and we saw her with a stack of menus and thought it was ours and to our disbelief she passed them ALL OUT to other people near us…………
The guy in our group got pissed and walked up to her and asked AGAIN. She apologized again and said she'll be right back with it. He came back and asked if we still wanted to be here, but we were like whatever since we already got seated and it's already late in the night.
She finally comes out with our menus and apologized. Afterwards she took our drink orders and 10-15 minutes later she walks out with our drinks and spills on the table…..she apologizes and left. The whole night we were being ALREADY really nice to her since we tried to ignore the whole situation and talked amongst ourselves and catching up with life…this must've been 45 minutes and she came back and the guy in our group reminded her that she forgot our napkins to clean up the spill…..she apologized and said she will be right back to clean it up. 15 minutes later we got fed up paid our drinks and left…..
The service that night was terrible and it wasn't even a weekend…..I don't care if it's supposedly busy or not, you should NEVER EVER do that to a customers….especially a large group too. The worst part is you knew she didn't even mean it when she apologized….She was just one of those snobby girls and we paid attention how she served everyone else a lot friendlier and a lot more attentive then us….Because of her I will NEVER go back to this bar again, which is a shame because I would've loved to try their food. I will NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!
