Restaurant El Paisa
“The delivery can be a little slow (I've only gotten delivery) but the al pastor tacos, nachos and everything else are really great.”
“I think the tacos are better at Los Hermanos down the street, but here you can get al pastor and goat, which you can't get at Los Hermanos.”
“I LOVE spice – and I don't mean "white-people spice" and boy did they deliver.”

Very good authentic Mexican food! And less pretentious than the place on the other edge of the block.
I ordered a vegetarian burrito for $9.75 plus tax. It was large and they cut it in half — cute! They served two squirt salsas in an ice bucket. They're nice touches, and not what I'd expect from an affordable ethnic place.
It's a small business and they don't seem to get many customers, so please support!
The first thing that struck me about El Paisa was that it was loud. Blaring music at noon on a Sunday, on an otherwise sleepy morning. It roused the last bit of sleep out of me, which was necessary.
The next thing that really struck me was that their portions are very large, which was great. The huevos con chorizo were served with a mess of rice and beans. Enough for two people, or one big hungry dude.
The quality of the food was decent, but nothing to write home about. The rice was standard, the beans a bit runny, but the eggs cooked in delicious chorizo grease helped make up for this. A fine hangover killer.
