  1. This is a totally solid neighborhood bar. They have tons of flat screens so my Buffalo Bills game is on every Sunday. Plus specials on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays with cheap wings and dollar off drafts/wine/well drinks.
The burger was great!! It had been a while since I had one on an english muffin and I forgot how good they are with all the juices in the nooks and crannies. The fries were great too.
Can't wait to go back and try their Old Bay wings!

  2. Pretty chill neighborhood bar. I was looking for a sports bar to watch MLB Postseason before heading to a hipster area with no tvs basically, and this place delivered. The food options were abundant and good on the cheap scale. Bartender was a cutie pie, always a plus.

  3. In my opinion, Rhythm & Booze is a standard neighborhood pub with a really great name.  It's the kind of place you go to when you want to relax with friends and drinks, maybe watch the game, perhaps eat pub grub, etc.  Oddly enough, they sell lottery tickets there.  Not sure what that's about.  Mike and I came there last Saturday night–he had a beer, I had a Diet Coke and Stoli Vanila.

It was a good place to unwind after a fun-filled day and while it wasn't the most memorable bar I've been to, I wouldn't be opposed to returning.

  4. Chill
    Sports bar
    With enough
    TVs for all.
Has small restaurant on the side. Friendly.

  5. Everything that I said before remains true; however, the vibe I got from this place tonight was a little more akin to what one would expect from the the soup nazi.  The place was full of what appeared to be regulars, and the staff was happily catering to them. We relative newcomers, however, experienced slower service. I inquired about happy hour specials and was told there were none.  No skin off my back, as the prices here are beyond reasonable.  I was not in the mood for mixed drinks, and the wine offerings here are very limited and simple but quaffable.  My friend tried to order the chili and was asked if she wanted it with everything, and she said "no," and the bartender was like "well then you have to say something because everything is the default."  I guess that was a violation of the chilli nazi protocol.  My friend seemed to like the chili she ordered sans onions well enough but detected a strong flavor of Liquid Smoke (the branded condiment not the state of matter):
"The Facts behind Colgin's Liquid Smoke
Colgin Natural Liquid Smoke is an all-natural product with no additives or preservatives. It is manufactured using a safe, water-based process, in which unwanted byproducts are removed. A little liquid smoke goes a long way in livening up taste, so start off with about one teaspoon per serving in your favorite recipe and then add more from there to taste. Colgin Natural Liquid Smoke contains: Water, Natural Smoke Flavor, Vinegar, Molasses, Caramel Color and Salt. We all know that smoking food products adds flavor and color to them. But liquid smoke, which is generated from hardwood sawdust, also has antioxidative and antimicrobial properties as well. It's possible to add liquid smoke to meat products to improve their safety and shelf life. If you miss the smoked taste of certain foods that you used to prepare by open grill smoking, you can feel comfortable using liquid smoke on meats, in marinades, soups, sprinkled on fish, and so on."

On my next trip to Rhythm and Booze, I may opt for the grilled cheese with bacon and tomato which sounded very tempting or the famous burgers on English muffins instead.

  6. having spent most of my life living in this neighborhood, it's actually funny that this weekend, while visiting my family in the area, was the first time I've visited Rhythm and Booze. and holy crap, I feel ancient pointing out that it used to be called McBear's for AGES!

it's a good, relaxing place to have some drinks, listen to the jukebox, hang out, and maybe grab a bite to eat. I notice I prefer these types of bars more and more lately, rather than going to some crazy packed place with idiots yelling "WOOOOOO!!!" every five seconds and taking photos of how sloppy drunk they are. GET OFF MY LAWN.

the bartender was friendly. they sell lotto tickets in the bar. there's food, which I've heard is good. crowd is a mix of mostly locals, both young and old.

it's one big room (situated on a corner makes for a bit of an odd layout) and fairly spacious. not too busy on Saturday but not empty either. a few TVs showing various college football games, but not blaringly-loud.

decent lineup of taps. a Sierra Nevada for myself and a mixed drink for Caroline came to ten bucks total. nice!

    solid place. I'd go back.

  7. Tucked into a quiet corner of the neighborhood not far from Key Food, this is one of my all-time favorite Windsor Terrace bars. Actually, there really aren't many bars in Windsor Terrace, but this one totally rocks. It's very "down home" with tons of TVs and rabid baseball fans. The drinks are cheap and strong and the finger foods are very palatable. This is what Johnny Mack's used to be like in the good old days.
