Ria Bella Pizza
“Not as exotic/quirky as Paulie Gee's but their basic pies are well made and there is no line out the door (yet).”
“It up there in the caliber of Lucali, Grimaldi's, Patsy's, Motorio, etc. It's way better than Fornino.”
“Definitely the best food I've had in a long time and it's a whole lot more than the specialty pizza.”

I stepped into Ria Bella on a whim and I was sure glad I did. As a pizza lover this place impressed, like wow! Order a half and half pie – which is was most accommodating. Half a Mariella Pizza (Fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, eggplant sauteed in garlic, roasted red pepper topped with ricotta and basil) and half a Bianca (No sauce. Fresh mozzarella, ricotta, pecorino romano, basil, garlic and oil). Not only was the pizza beautiful, it was very fresh tasting. They dollop the ricotta on the pizza with what looks like a pastry decorator tip – genius – it retains its ricotta essence, staying lite and creamy. BUT for the real win here – the gold medal goes to the crust. Pizza is nothing if the crust is terrible. Here the crust is crisp and flavorful. The prices were not too for what I would consider specialty, boutique-ish tasting pizza.
