  1. I have passed this restaurant daily on my way home from work and as enticing as it's curbside appeal never stopped in for a meal. It was only when a local Groupon was offered that I decided it was time to visit as my oldest son and myself are bachelor's during the summer when the rest of the family is away at camp.
On a Sunday night, the restaurant was moderately busy, but our reservation was honored and we were seated immediately. The owner, Tara, made me feel welcome and valued. While perusing the menu and listening to the nightly specials, a perfect starter of olives and Parmesan appeared and nibbling it whet my appetite. A few moments later, bruschetta arrived, laying off the carbs this summer, my son was more than happy to savor both slices. He said that it was garlicky and a near perfect rendition of one of his favorites. We split a perfectly dressed caesar and then our entrees arrived. I chose the pork osso bucco with risotto and my son had the chicken scapariello. My pork was fork tender and delicious and the risotto was soft and creamy and well flavored. I was worried the pork would be too heavy for a summer evening, but it was homey and comforting. My son laughed as I tried to extract as much marrow as possible from the shank bone. He loved the chicken, said it was flavorful and tender, even ate some of the sauteed greens that were on the plate. However, he thought that the potatoes served with the chicken were "unbelievable good". I had the house cabernet with dinner and it paired very well. The dessert cart was enticing. My son had a well made cheesecake. I had the Limoncello cake, which had a perfect texture and just the right balance of sweet and citrus. I think, however, that the white chocolate shavings detracted from the subtle flavors of the cake and icing. I overheard a conversation about Limoncello and opined how most commercial liquor available in the US is syrupy and sickly sweet. Tara brought over a complementary glass of house infused vodka that was light and palate cleansing.
The service was friendly and attentive and would have been impeccable, had the maitre not brought to our table  two fish dishes that we had not ordered, and later was noted to have trouble locating the only table of six that matched the six dishes on the service cart!
My son and I were not rushed, we had ample time to get to know each other with a leisurely meal with great food, drink and conversation. I told Tara that I would be back when my wife returns from camp, and I will keep my promise. I highly recommend this restaurant.

  2. went here last night for the first time and liked it. food was good and waiters were extremely nice, like really nice! 🙂 this is a great place to go when you want a really nice dinner out. we were in a rush so we were like okay come on come on lol. but if we hadn't been in a rush it's very nice to relax and have a good meal.

  3. Coming in I had pretty high expectations so I didn't expect myself to be blown away.

Was I wrong!  This place is seriously awesome!

Was part of a party here.   We had a buffet style setup with Chicken Francese, Veal, Salmon, and an Egg Plant.

If you can imagine the most tender chicken breast in the world, with the perfect amount of creamy wine/lemony type sauce (I know I'm not doing it justice), the Chicken Francese from Rialto is just that.

To make matters even better, the veal and also the salmon were cooked to perfection in my opinion.

The eggplant parmesan was as good as I can imagine it could be.   The mozzarella was as flavorful and had the right amount of chewy taste to complement the perfectly baked/breaded eggplant.   Amazing dish right here folks.

Definitely a memorable experience.   If the parking lot is full, there is usually a lot of parking in the neighborhood down the block.   Would make sense to park further because you would definitely want to walk it off from all the eating.

  4. Had a very nice business lunch at Rialto's.  Only one other table with customers on this snowy weekday.  Nice bruschetta to start, plus a small bread basket with butter.  Had a delicious scallop over polenta appetizer where the only complaint was its portion size.  It was beautifully presented but a quantity of literally one that I ate in 2 bites for $14.  Are you kidding me.  My main course was the lightly breaded and pan sautéed flounder covered in artichokes and capers in a lemon sauce, was utterly spectacular.  Finished the lunch with double espresso and biscotti cookie.  Looking forward to cone back and do dinner!

  5. I really wish that I could rate Rialto  higher but if truth be told it just doesn't deserve it. Food is no longer better then average and service borders on pretentious. Waiter confused part of our order, my fish was served with bones, and everyone at the table felt that the restaurant was in decline.
Hopefully management will take a long look at both food and service. With some minor changes this could once again become special.
