Rice To Riches
“The winner of the three was the chocolate chip, not as sweet as the sex drugs and rocky road, but way more flavor than the traditional.”
“Just think of it as paying for the cute plastic container and spoon that are totally reusable.”
“Of course the original is delicious, but LIVE A LITTLE: I've tried the custard flavor, the rocky road, the mascarpone, the french toast , and the cookies and cream.”

YUM!!!! Love this place! A must hit on any trip to NYC. The flavors are so "rich" and tasty, and the toppings are perfect for any desert lover. If you've never had rice pudding, this is the place to try it! Beware though- it is heavy and filling the small is easily split between two people.
Upon one of my wandering NYC days I stumbled upon Rice to Riches. It's hard to miss with its flamboyant entrance and fluorescent lighting. So I stumbled inside and wow! So much rice pudding! I am not a fan of rice pudding myself but RTR really knows their stuff. They have a ton of flavors a served in quirky containers with quirky decor. The pudding itself is delicious but be careful! Very decadent and rich (no pun intended). Funny signs and slogans plastered on the walls and a quirky atmosphere. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if you happen to stumble into the neighborhood check t out. Even if you aren't a rice pudding fan yourself. I like the butter pecan. Yummy!
Rice (pudding) to Flynn!
This is the only shop in new York that gets us, you know, the foodies! We try really hard to keep our diets and hold back, but those exceptions to the rule are far too often. So minimum Here you can be comfortable in your own skin, and enjoy the moment. Let's have some rice pudding time. (you will get it when your their)
From their award winning interior design, to their out of this world flavors this is a must for anyone visiting new york city.
What's not to like about this place?!? Even if it is Just for the (rice against humanity walls, get it?) cute little sayings all over, it would totally be worth it! (I dare you to use the bathroom). But the shnoozle doesn't stop there. The flavors themselves are not shabby at all. I have my personal favorite, but you can try as many as you like, till you decide. Oh, and before I forget, keep the spoon and plate that they serve the rice pudding in, you will thank me later for it.
Pro bonus: This is one of the most photogenic shops I have ever been to in new York, hey Instagramers…
Rice Pudding Galore! If you love rice pudding, this is your spot.
Friendly service. I love the quotes and signs on the walls. No skinny itches! Very big dessert spot for NYC standards.
They let you sample the different flavors before your pick your poison. Flavors are exactly like when you go to an ice cream shop but in rice pudding.
Man-Made Mascarpone Solo w/ Nuts – $8 + $1.50 – Thick sweet and ricey. Mascarpone was not to to sweet. The nuts help add a needed texture because without it, you would be eating mush the whole time and it would get really boring. Very heavy dessert,
Came here to try the famous dessert, and it was good, just not my type of dessert. There are different flavors to sample and all are pretty unique. I liked the cheesecake and almond flavors. Inside, the decoration is super cute, modern and pretty instagram worthy! I wouldn't recommend getting your own, I think you should share because the portions are huge! I wish they had a tiny size for $1 or something because most people cant finish the small.
I'd say skip, but if you really like rice pudding check it out.
Hate to do this but, "YASSS!" Is there anything better than a rice pudding bar? Well maybe if they had a make your own doughnut & froyo station that were no calories but this is real life people.
This place is a classic – so many different flavors and you can literally taste all of them before making your decision. The butter pecan and oreo flavors are knockouts. Not to mention the interior is filled with hilarious sayings like "no skinny bitches." Great place for dessert & chill late night!
I heard a lot about this place so made a special trip here to savor the different types of rice puddings on offer.
We had the solo vanilla and epic with mascarpone and chocolate. Rice pudding may not be everyone's taste but I happen to like rice in desserts so I was excited to try this place.
The solo serving was large and I think enough for two people to share. The consistency of the rice was creamy and it was a bit like having chilled sweet runny porridge.
With the mushrooming of frozen yoghurt stores everywhere, a rice pudding chain may just be an interesting option to try?
First Chipotle, then Salad, then Granola, and now RICE PUDDING BARS?
If there's one thing to look forward to in the future it's having more of these. Rice to Riches is a fun, colorful place in Soho, with so much personality from the decor, to the available flavors.
PLUS you get to take home the cute bowl and spoon afterwards!
While the price is kind of high for a small bowl (Solo cups are $8.50) I promise you it'll fill you up and more. You'll still want to go back and try all the other flavours after you wake up from your food coma.
