Only one word can describe this place…BAD. I USED to frequent this establishment because it was very close to my job. But then I realized there was a better restaurant with the same name, closer to Rockaway. It is often joked that Jamaican restaurants never have anything, this definitely rings true at this restaurant. I have come exactly at 12PM, sometimes 12:30PM and even 1:30PM and they were still cooking. They never have any food ready on-time. There are no prices on the menu above, but if you grab a paper menu you will know. Above all, service is terrible. Depending on the server, you may or may not get good service. What I hate most, is that when there is food and the line is going out the door, they will have just ONE person serving. Why??? There have been times when this situation ensues and when you think the Gods of food have heard you and another employee comes out to serve, no way! the employee comes out to gather his own plate of food…really though? What restaurant does that? My last visit was my end-all support visit. I came in for 1 piece of fried fish. The employee looks around and says "we don't have any left" at 4PM. So Richard, when exactly do you have anything? As a restaurant, shouldn't you have enough food to last the entire day? If lunch time is one of the busiest times of day, why isn't the food ready by then? Randomly, I decided to try the other Richards, close to Rockaway. Beautiful establishment with greater variety of options. And guess what? They have every food listed and ready by lunch time. With that said, for the life of me, I cannot understand how or why, two establishments with the same name can be so different on one avenue?
