“Me and my husband both love Peruvian food and this is probably the only Peruvian restaurant that delivers to LIC for as little as $7.”
“While the chicken and jalea are as good as expected from one of NYC's premier Peruvian joints, I highly suggest the seafood soup – To DIE for!”

I have been deprived of good rotisserie chicken all my life. The times of eating Boston Market and the dry super market versions has left me a bad impression of rotisserie chickens. Now that I tried the Peruvian kind,, I have a new found respect for this cooking style.
However they cook this chicken, they are doing something right. The chicken is super moist and the meat fall of the bone. The skin is not charred to a cancerous state but has enough crisp and smoky flavor.
Service in this establishment is pretty nice as well. One of the waitresses offered me a free glass of wine as I waited for my take out order. I kindly declined knowing that I will be red as a tomato if I chugged that glass in that short amount of time.
In Woodside/Sunnyside, there is almost a Peruvian chicken place at each corner. This one always stood out to me as its smack in the middle of the busiest area. The diner-esque feel gives of a laid back atmosphere you can dine in. Also having finally tried the food here, its no longer just that fixture I pass by everyday.
I have never dined here. So this review is solely based on the food. Me and my husband both love Peruvian food and this is probably the only Peruvian restaurant that delivers to LIC for as little as $7.
We ordered a whole Peruvian chicken and an order of ceviche de pescado. The food arrived in less than 40 min, considering it came from Sunnyside. The ceviche was well spiced, very fresh and delicious. The portion was perfect. The chicken on the other hand was huge. It was cooked to perfection, so juicy and tender. We couldn't finish the whole portion but enjoyed every bite we took. The spicy green sauce that they sent us went very well with the chicken.
I will be ordering from them again.
Came here for dinner on a Tuesday. It's a small restaurant, and you can see the food being cooked from the open kitchen. The staff doesn't seem to speak English very well, but they did get our order correct, and they did bring whatever we asked for very quickly. Every time I get Peruvian food, I get the Peruvian rotisserie chicken to compare it to other Peruvian places I've been. Their chicken was pretty good, but not the best I've ever had. Their aji sauce was just OK. It is pretty cheap though, and the service is good.
I like this place. Its a nice Peruvian restaurant on a corner and I really had a great experience. I came here on a date and I had the steak with tomatoes and onions. He had the steak with hot dog and french fries. Our meals were pretty tasty and we got complementary sangria as well. I love sangria! Anyways, I enjoyed the restaurant and it wasn't too pricy. However, it was really hot in there! They need some ac!
My friend and I stopped by for dinner Friday night, and were lucky to snag a table for two without a wait. We shared orders of the avocado salad and half chicken with a side of rice and beans, and everything was tasty! We washed it all down with Cusquenas, but could have gotten free glasses of wine with Yelp check-ins. Next time!
Not bad
I had the appetizer sampler which was pretty forgettable. It comes with a bit of everything off the apps menu. So I'd skip the apps completely. To be honest.
The chicken combos are a steal at $5 for 1/4 chicken with rice and beans or fries.
The chicken is juicy with a great crunchy skin. The seasoning is delicious.
The white and green sauce are amazing. Dump them on everything
Tres Leche cake was pretty decent too for $4.
Only has take out this far. Great service, the owner/manager was actively engaging with the consumers and you get a free glass of wine. We ordered ceviche, which was tasty ,.. A whole chicken – it was good but then the breasts were a bit dry.
I would try this one more time by sitting down but it's OK so far.
Pretty mediocre to poor experience at this place. It was NY Eve and we just wanted a quick dinner before heading to a party where there'd be plenty of 'refreshments', but likely not a lot of food.
We were seated quickly with menus and the waitress came back to take our drink order – we needed a bit more time deciding on the food. When we finally decided on our food items – both involving rotisserie chicken – we were told they were out of rotisserie chicken. Completely out of it. At a place that, well, chicken is their calling card. It would have helped if she would have told us that 15 minutes ago when we first sat down. If we hadn't started our drinks by then we would have happily left. But it was cold, so we decided on two other options. My husband's entree, whatever it was called, was a type of stewed chicken with french fries mixed right in the 'stew' (ick) and rice on the side. There was also a random squid ring in the 'stew' part. He joked that maybe it meant he won a prize or something, like getting the plastic Jesus in a King Cake, but no such luck. I ordered the Peruvian Style 'seafood rice'. I have never been to Peru, but I seriously doubt that either dish is how any country would pride themselves on a dish of of food. It was more like 'lazy rice'. The egg was chopped into big hunks of squares, as if off of another table's omelette. The entire dish was overcooked, with a good cup of raw scallions tossed on the top. With so many other amazing restaurant options in this neighborhood, I can safely say I will not be back.
Two stars because…
1 – neither of us got sick. (that's something I no longer take for granted in NYC dining adventures…).
And – 2 – the sangria is AWESOME. One glass and I didn't care that they forgot to bring me the salad I ordered. I would have stayed for a second glass, but after asking for a second glass, waiting 20 minutes, and nothing happening, we just opted for the bill.
