  1. A few pretty nasty reviews here. We had a very nice experience.

We would have never found this place on our own but thanks to a friend in Bayonne, we now know about it and will return. My son and I had some excellent Chorizo to start. Plenty to share. For entrees, Veal in Almond Sauce for me. A Sirloin steak, medium rare for my son. Plenty of yellow rice and spanish potatoes. We skipped the veggies.

Our food was delicious. The steak was prepared perfectly. My veal was tender, the sauce was drink worthy. Speaking of drinks, a very nice half pitcher of white sangria hit the spot. Spanish potatoes were very crisp.

Rincon is a nice neighborhood spot. We look forward to our next visit.

  2. I wish I could give 3.5 stars as this place is better than a 3, but not quite at a 4.

I was here for a dinner party, so we were with a big group.  The service was fairly attentive, but seemed to drop off a bit once the food courses started coming out.  We were left to refill our own wine glasses & had to flag someone down to get another basket of bread.  This definitely did not ruin our experience, and like I said, we were a large group, so I'm sure that had something to do with it.  This may sound strange, but the bread was really good.  It come out nice & hot.  Our group ordered the fried calamari and garlic shrimp as starters.  I didn't have any, but everyone said that it was very good.  My husband especially liked the calamari.  For my entree I had the Rincon Chicken.  The chicken was lightly breaded and served in a very light tomato based sauce.  It was very good and came with veggies, brown rice & fried potato chips on the side.  The portion was tremendous and could've easily served 2-3 people.  I enjoyed my meal very much.  Their coffee was also really good too.  I'll definitely be back.

  3. I recently had an excellent meal here. Traditional Iberian food and excellent service made it a great meal. I look forward to eating here again soon.

  4. The staff is impeccable and the sangria is what I go for!

  5. Great service with a smile, delicious sangria, and reasonable prices makes this one of the restaurants in good ole Bayonne that has lasted a lifetime. I've been going there for 30 years and have no complaints. They start your meal with soup that I haven't been able to replicate no matter how much I try. Something unique and nostalgic about it. Decent sized dining areas for larger parties and they can accommodate larger groups and will rearrange tables for you if you call ahead.
