  1. I hate, hate coming here, but sometimes I get lazy and stop by to pick up a small thing.

And then I quickly remember that I hate coming here.

First, the automatic door didn't open all the way, so I almost ran into the door. Okay, maybe that was my fault, but it'd be nice if the doors worked properly.

While Rite Aids are usually bigger than Duane Reades – at least in Astoria – I find RA a bit cluttered.

My biggest complaint is that there are always long lines here. Today, the cashiers were casually laughing together, taking their time. Even though three lines were open, it was still taking forever to pay and leave.

I say come here if you're desperate. And maybe during some "off" hour.

  2. As most have noted, this location is just not up to par.

I came in to pick up a prescription and had to wait an extra 30 minutes even though I was emailed prior saying it was ready. The pharmacists were not cognizant of privacy either, speaking loudly to me and other patients for everyone to overhear.

There is absolutely always a line as well at checkout.

  3. Eh.  I mostly come here for the pharmacy but sometimes to also pick up random necessities.  Some of the pharmacy staff members are super nice but some aren't, and sometimes they speak too loudly about prescriptions…I don't need everyone in the line knowing what I'm picking up.

Lastly, this is the only place I know of that sells milk that goes sour far before the expiration date.  It's very frustrating when you think you have four more days but – surprise – it's already undrinkable.  Not going to buy it again.

3 stars because it's convenient and has a lot of 1 dollar items (a lot of items in general).  I just really wish they'd get their act together on the milk thing, not sure what that's all about.
