  1. My favorite bagels ever. No one else competes with this place.

Try an everything bagel with egg, salt pepper ketchup.

  2. The bagels here are the stuff of legend. Seriously. Always fresh, crispy and tasty. The plain bagels are great in and of themselves…but the sandwiches?!? Oh man. The Taylor Ham, egg and cheese is absolutely the best I have ever had anywhere. Used to come here when I lived in NJ even though I would pass up several other places to do so. Now it's on my "must go" list anytime I'm in the area. It is always busy in here but it is absolutely worth the wait. Bagels in NJ are better than bagels anywhere else – that's true – but the ones from this place? The best hands down, scouts honor, swear on a stack of cream cheese. Just go. You won't regret it!

  3. If you want a hot, breakfast sandwich (made with a bagel) come here!!!! I always try to look for the best bagel place in my area so when I came here I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered an onion bagel with cream cheese which was good but not the best bagel I've ever had, however I tried a wheat bagel with egg and cheese on it and my god that was delicious. They really made something so simple taste magnificent. With a little salt and pepper, egg and cheese on a bagel can be very good here.

I did not try a breakfast sandwich that had Taylor ham or bacon on it as well, but my girlfriend had it and said it was also incredible.

The bagel itself is also very fluffy and quite large so you won't be left feeling hungry when you get one.

The verdict: Maybe not the best place for a classic bagel and cream cheese, but not bad a choice for it. For a breakfast sandwich on the other hand, COME HERE!

  4. Totally worth the hype! I usually try to stay away from bagels, but treat myself to one every once in a while.

I've been SO disappointed with the bagels around the area (Elmwood Park & Saddle Brook) that I've got recently, so I looked at Yelp reviews to help me decide this time around.

I couldn't wait to try Hot Bagels and I've definitely found my new go-to! The bagels are not only perfectly soft, but are actually HOT. If you like cream cheese and butter, I recommend getting butter on these bagels. They melty butter on the hot bagel is just AMAZING.

Update to my review: I finally tried the Taylor ham, egg, and cheese for myself… PERFECTION. It's hard to find a sandwich with the right amount of each ingredient; usually they're too heavy or too light. Hot Bagels got it just right!

I'll definitely be back to Hot Bagels for my next bagel!

  5. Two bagels, one with cream cheese, one with butter, and a piece of crumb cake came to $6.  If your bagels are $.90 that's a not-so-nice chunk of change for a slab of butter or cream cheese.  Anyways, the bagels were gummy and chewy.  The bagels might be better toasted, but otherwise they are very run of the mill, like what you can find almost everywhere.

Service is polite and friendly, atmosphere is minimalist, but the store has breakfast sandwich options pretty much covered, with nice selections of drinks to go with your food.

If Yelp did half stars I'd give this place a 2.5 for simply being ordinary.  Lenders in bags that cost $1.50 are better.

  6. As per more recently, the prices at the other Hot Bagels in the area have gone up a bit too much for my liking, I kinda prefer this place now.

  7. Wow this place has been so close this whole time and I just got here for the first time. Excellent spot for a breakfast sandwich. I got a bacon egg and cheese with S/P/K. First off the bagel was amazing. I got mine toasted, it had a crispy outside and somehow still soft inside. The egg and bacon was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed listening to the old man behind the flat top singing while I waited for my bagel. Fresh bagels, friendly service, I will be back.

  8. This was my go-to bagel cafe growing up, so when I ventured to others around town I was surprised when they weren't all as good as RR Hot Bagels.

I have yet to find another bagel place that can make a sandwich like here. The bagels are huge, fluffy and always fresh. They also do not skimp on the egg sandwiches. Always 2 eggs, 2/3 pieces of meat (depending on which choice) and smothered in cheese, topped with SPK of course.

This is a family owned and operated spot and they are always friendly. Since my family has been going there for so long, as has most of the town, they always throw in extra bagels and mini bagels to your bag. I can't imagine where I'll get my fix when the time comes to move out.

Only thing missing is a whole wheat everything bagel!
