This place rocked my world. Ordered the skinny marg and a passion fruit strawberry frozen Margarita. Five stars. For dinner ordered the burrito and the enchiladas. Omg flavor was unbelievable! Service was ok they forgot our guac and dessert orders so we cancelled it. Other than that I recommend this place.
Such a great little Mexican place. The steak and mushroom quesadilla is very good. I love the apple slaw on top. It is one of my favorites.
Chips and salsa come with when you sit down at the table. I love the salsa. They definitely use roasted tomatoes and it tastes very fresh.
Well, that was small. We came in starving, and left just somewhat less than "yeah, I could eat something."
Probably our fault; we all ordered tacos – and as delicious as they were, we definitely should have supplemented. Shrimp tacos and Carnitas were both worth ordering (as an app), and I would very likely get them again. We also got the green apple slaw, which tasted really good with both kinds of tacos.
The drinks (two kinds of margaritas, one sangria), and chips & salsa – both great. Margaritas were strong but not overwhelming, and the salsa was slightly creamy, but still had a nice bite to it. The chips were gigantic, so there was plenty of surface area for maximum salsa absorption.
Solid 3.5 for what we had, and a definite bookmark to come back and try some more. You won't find a gigantic menu with all of the traditional options here…but that's probably a good thing.
Came here for restaurant week (lunch) and I had a wonderful meal. I believe it was 28$ for 2 small plates and dessert. I was a little concerned that the small plates would be too small to fill me up but they were actually decent portion sizes. I chose the lamb tacos and the scallop ceviche and the banana cheesecake. Everythig was so super fresh and delicious. It is always noticeable when restaurants use quality ingredients and this place was no exception. The banana cheesecake was big enough to share with my bf (although I didn't want to share it). Service was impeccable as well, our water glasses were never empty!
Highly recommend, would love to return for dinner sometime.
A solid Mexican restaurant in Chelsea. I recently came here for my birthday and was impressed with the attentive service and delicious bites (from guacamole, to ceviche, to enchiladas). If you're looking to get your drank on, opt for the frozen margaritas: They are large and strong — definitely getting your money's worth.
One caveat: The entrees don't come with sides like most Mexican restaurants around the city, so you'll have to order rice and beans separately.
Really solid Mexican restaurant. I had a beef dish that was slow cooked in a jalapeno mole sauce. Sound good? Because it was amazing.
The margaritas are generous and strong (frozen better than rocks), and the deserts are really solid.
A little pricy for Mexican, but really good regardless.
The vibe is cool here. There is an outdoor patio area in the front as well as indoor seating that opens to the outdoor space. Service was decent.
A must-get here are the margaritas. My friend always gets the Pure Rocking Horse Margarita. I tried the Mango Margarita blended. Very refreshing and good. Decent portions.
In terms of the food, I tried the carnitas tacos, which were quite small but the meat was flavorful and went well with the onions and avocado. This was $13.
My friend got a chicken burrito. I think in terms of sheer volume the burrito is the way to go. Really well done too.
It's not the cheapest place to get Mexican, but it's certain one of the nicer ones.
Stopped by one day during an out of town guest visit. We did some touristy stuff and the needed drinks, STAT!
On our way from By Chloe to Penn Station (meeting point) we decided to stop in for some happy hour drinks
Needless to say they had a good special on margaritas, about 6 later we made our way to Penn Station!
The restaurant itself looked clean, nothing special and the food seemed average for Mexican in America.
The drinks were strong and a very good deal, totally worth stopping by.
The bartender my girlfriend and I had was wonderful however, the owner stopped by at one point to simply make our bartender feel incompetent, which wasn't pleasant but he was a good sport and apologized for it.
Overall, a great happy hour margarita spot with strong drinks, worth the stop!!!
