The name is throwing me, on the outside windows it simply says "COFFEE HOUSE"
On the inside is where the magic is happening. This is not only a coffee house, its a cafe serving some great breakfast items as well as baked goods.
There are many coffee options to choose from: Drip, pour over, espresso, latte, cappuccino and cortado which is my favorite. A cortado is a beverage that consists of espresso coffee mixed with a small amount of warm milk. The word cortado is the Spanish verb cortar (to cut), in the sense of "dilute". Well lets get to dilutin' baby!
I stop in about 9am and I see I have the place to myself. Whomever said its a nice quite place to work is sadly mistaken. They were CRANKIN' Donna Summer at 9am! I had to work and was looking for a quite spot, the music chased me out.
My coffee? A premium roast that left me wanting more. One of the best coffee grinds I had in a long time, this place is so out of the way. I'm hoping they open another location in midtown.
If you're looking for a great breakfast as well as coffee,
Stars, hide your fires; Let not light see my black and deep coffee desires.Wrong Shakespeare play? Oh well, find Romeo and Juliet Colombian Coffee if you're close to the Javits center.
What a great coffee spot! After having an annoying weather day in NYC in the hurricane, I was so happy to stumble upon this coffee shop while waiting for my megabus (about 6 blocks from the megabus pick-up spot). I settled into a corner with 2 outlets and got a delicious cappuccino to warm up. The place is cute and well decorated- very cozy and lots of different seat options). I tried one of their sandwiches (the american) and it was really good and fresh! It came with a side salad and was the perfect size for dinner and was reasonably priced. They also have quiches and lots of little pastries. Their wifi is good for 2 hours and worked well. The employees were really friendly and helpful.
I highly recommend coming here to relax, study, do work, or just simply to wait for your bus!
Looking for a quick caffeine java jolt before visiting the NY Auto Show me and my sister stopped by Green Nature Coffee House.
I ordered the house special blend of the day which was a Portuguese blend that was nice and mild with no aftertaste.
I'm one of those people that have to eat something with coffee, so I opted for a slice of the very fresh looking cherry pie that was displayed right at the ordering area.
Quite happy with the cherry pie as it was filled with a more tart than sweet cherry filling contained in a nice buttery crust. Paired with the coffee, I was a happy man satiating both my caffeine and sugar cravings. I wish the slice were a tad larger though!
Sister ordered the Espresso and a cheese-filled pastry (whose name I forgot) that were both very good.
She remarked on how flavorful and smooth the espresso was.
Pastry was buttery flaky and had a delicate crumbly semi-sweet cheese filling.
The cafe was very clean, had a fair amount of seating, and the staff was friendly.
A comfortable spot for a coffee and worth a stop by if you're in the area.
Very mixed feelings on this very mixed placed.
Upon walking in there are a lot of seats and the cafe is really clean. You can sit by the windows facing the street (which I was going to do but around noon the sun shines right in your eyes) the large communal table in the back, the angled high tables, the bar, the small tables for two in the corners, or the comfy couches! Even though there are so many options the place seems off cause of the weird angles the tables are positioned. But the table space is great, so if you're the type who likes to spread out stuff while studying/working, it's a plus.
The barista was really friendly. I got a latte with coconut and hazelnut syrup. It tasted great. I like how they ask if it's to stay or to go so they'll put it in a mug or paper cup.
The main thing that threw me off was the music playing here. I feel like I heard everything- top 40, jazz, easy sfw listening, oldies, rhythmic chanting… It was kinda distracting. Also there are two tvs in the cafe- one plays the news and the other is a PowerPoint of coffee stock photos and some they took.

I really liked this place. It was a rainy NYC evening when I strolled in here with one of my friends. I love the openness and the large windows are a nice addition–just to look out at the city and people watch. I opted for the pumpkin spiced latte–much better than Starbucks'-service was great, barista was cute (lol), and the cookies were delicious as well.
This place was a bless! A bunch of must-tries here: coconut coffee (this is house-brewed espresso so no need to worry about high calorie intake), passion fruit coffee, and even their seasonal specialty pumpkin latte. Their pastries look delicious to me as well…
It was crowded though, so it might be a bit difficult to enjoy their coffee and sunshine at the same time. Fortunately it was not too far away from Gotham west market, where plenty of seating could be found.
Pretty okay place for coffee. I got a pumpkin spice almond latte and it was good but nothing that stands out for me given that there are a million coffee stores in nyc.
I do love the seating- they have nice high tables with lots of space. Nice place to do work! Big open glass windows allow for tons of natural lighting!
I would come back here if I wanted to sit for a while and do work/ reading. Nice and quiet and not crazy cluttered or noisy like some other places may be.
Green Nature is an ideal coffee shop for getting some work/study done. There's plenty of seating, and more importantly plenty of outlets. My moroccan mint iced tea was great and my friends tortilla espanola was better than some I've had at spanish restaurants.
The wifi charges 99 cents an hour after the first two hours, but if you're there longer this doesn't seem terribly unfair. Also if you get internet through a cable company you might be able to get wifi that way.
