Rosco’s Pizzeria

“My favorite pizza on Franklin Ave is easily Barboncino's up the street, but this is a close second.”

“It's a neighborhood joint, great for when you're in the mood for crispy crust and extra toppings – love the variety.”

“in chilled classes (pretty cool), but their prices are too high/selection too sparse to make sense for filling up growlers.”

  1. Rosco's is the best place to grab a slice and hang out with a friend. The pizza is relatively cheap (by the slice!) and they have plenty of drink options (IPAs, pale ale, ciders). The pizza is classic and delicious. They heat up the slices for you so the crust stays hard but the cheese and sauce are hot and gooey. Honestly, fantastic.

The space is small, with eight or so tables but it's very relaxed and has a great atmosphere. The people behind the counter are very nice and there is a tv in the corner but most people are just laughing, talking, and inhaling pizza with friends. You should be there too.

If you are in Crown Heights in need of a slice, stop by Rosco's, no question!

  2. Terrible delivery (via seamless) and even worse pizza. After waiting for 2.5 hours and numerous nagging phone calls to check on the status, the pizza and salad arrived. The pizza was cold, oily, had clumps of cheese, and the crust tasted like garbage. Plus they only cut the pizza into 6 slices despite it being a large pie. I will never order from there again. The salad was so oily, wilted, and gross that I'm sure the rats passed on in it.  In a city known for its pizza, this pizza/salad combo is one I'd like to forget.

  3. Do I have to describe the mouth-watering deliciousness that's Rosco's? Twist my arm, huh. Just kidding, you don't have to force me this place speaks for itself in the way of tasty pizza. I might be partial because it was my old neighborhood go to, but I've never had the hint of a bad pizza from there. The staff works pretty hard and it shows. Thank you guys for being a great neighborhood favorite!

  4. Stopped in here for a quick slice when visiting Prospect Park Zoo and Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. Pizza came out hot and it was tasty and done right. They make it with a thinner crust than regular, which I enjoyed. I recommend the slice with onions, hot peppers, and bacon.

They've got an old school table arcade machine in here, so that's cool too.

  5. Truth be told I didn't get it when Rosco's opened. Did the area need another pizzeria with Barboncino a couple of blocks away ?  But while they both do pizza, they are quite different and appeal to me for different reasons.

While Barboncino is a traditional Italian  pizza restaurant, Rosco's is the classic Italian-American style corner pizza joint. I frequently find myself at Rosco's when i  feel like a quick bite, need to refuel before or after drinking or I want a hero. They do excellent pizza by the pie or slice. While all have been satisfying the pepperoni and grandma slice are  2 standouts. In addition to pizza you can get heroes, rice balls, garlic knots and pasta dishes.

The are also vegetarian friendly. Not just limited to a plain cheese slice the usually have a veggie slice, and white slice in addition to eggplant parm hero.

In addition they serve beer and have a TV which is usually tuned to local sports.

    I have one wish/criticism though

I wish they stayed open later. During the week they close at 11pm (and have run out of pizza before than). On weekends midnight.
Nothing like ending a night with a few good slices.

  6. I ordered a specialty pizza with a small salad that took 2 hours to deliver.  I called 6 times, the first three times different people answered the phone and said the pizza is on it's way out of the oven.  They said I would be refunded for the order, and they'd send me the food regardless.  The pizza was cold and the salad was inedible.  They did not refund me so I called my bank to cancel.  I will never order from this place again!

  7. As other reviewers have said this is a great neighborhood spot. I was visiting friends who took me here, and the slice options were great. Everything was delicious, fast, cheap, and fresh. The music was awesome and the other patrons and decor give it a nice vibe. I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but if I lived in their hood I would totally be a regular.

  8. Stopped in for a couple of slices.  The white pizza was fantastic with a great garlic flavor.  The plain pizza was good but a bit skimpy on sauce.  The crust was nice and thin.
