  1. My mom and I went in to Rosie for our final night before going back home.

Excellent customer service from the host (for got his name) and our waitress Sarah, to make sure were okay and so on.

    For the food:
Bread was good but for appetizers, we got fried calamari and it was delicious. Not to oily or fried up, just perfect.
I ordered the filet de medallion with veggies and it cook to perfections! However, my mom ordered filet mignon and it taste alright but a bit chard, and it was almost rare (after sharing a bite of her steak). But the mash potatoes and veggie she had was good and flavorable.

A best place to eat even tho its expensive but it's casual, yet semi fancy restaurant.

  2. Went here for lunch, after checking out of our hotel. The prices were amazingly low for Midtown Manhattan. A burger w/ fries for $13. I added cheese and bacon for a small fee. The burger was ginormous, I didn't finish it. So for this and the great service I was convinced they deserve a 5 star rating from me.

  3. I didn't care for Rosie O'Gradys.  The Shepard's Pie was dry.  The Corned Beef Sandwich was dry, and the Steak Sandwich was tough and chewy.

  4. Props for being open during the Blizzard of 2016, little late review but I want to say being across from our hotel the Sheraton this place was pumping out delicious food, great service, and an amazing view while the streets were shut down.

It was jam packed, we got right in and got seated and water served. No gluten-free menu that I knew of but he told me about the Salmon with potatoes and easily got that since it sounded good at the time and it was an excellent choice. Family all enjoyed their grub and had a great time, the coffee was fresh, and the food was quality. Also tried some of the chicken dish which was full of flavor and very good, go check it out.

  5. I was pretty happy with most visits during normal lunch and dinner hours. But. Late night service is terrible. The "gastro pub" downstairs closes randomly. Service at the main bar occurs randomly in-between baseball or soccer games. The staff at night seems to spend more time chatting with each other than taking care of customers. As I type this, I am seeing four guys behind the bar standing in a corner watching a football game. Yes, I would have liked another beer.

  6. While in New York recently, my husband and I stopped here for lunch. This place was conveniently located right across the street from our hotel. It was not crowded at all when we arrived, so we were able to be seated right away. Our server was very nice and attentive.

Rosie's offers a wide variety of options to choose from. The menus vary, depending on whether you're coming in for lunch or dinner. For my meal, I had the omelette with the smoked salmon option. It was very tasty. The amount of smoked salmon was very generous. My husband had the Rosie O'Grady's burger. The burger itself was rather big, and included fries. Rosie's also has a full bar and a nice beverage selection. I was able to enjoy an Original Sin cider while here.

I must add: the music selection was a real treat to listen to. Any place that plays Pink Floyd is a winner in my book.

The prices here are pretty reasonable, by New York standards. The next time we are in town, we will make a point to stop here again.

  7. Cute pub that I came to for a reception prior to the nyc marathon, as well as drinks after work one day.

The bar was very crowded both times I've been here. Getting a drink has proven to be quite difficult, but eventually after a lot of patience, one is able to grab a drink. Which, tasted a little watered down, but at least the price wasn't outrageous.

Walking through the bar and upstairs to their large room was where i spent most of my time when I came for a reception for the marathon. The place was actually beautiful inside. There are large window views overlooking the city. The food was actually quite good, we had a pre selected buffet of a mix of salad, cheese and meat, pasta, and desserts. I think I tried one of everything, and it was delicious. Kudos to the catering from this place. And even though the bar is right downstairs, not even once could you hear the ruckus going on, that's how quiet it was. Definitely recommend this place for an event.

  8. Good place to eat 3 stars because Nothing special and Very basic flavored. My first selection of suck on the menu was not available.   So I selected chicken parmigiana with penne.   We had oysters and fried calamari for the table.  Oysters were good and fresh.   Calamari was cooked proper.  Chicken Parmigiana was adequate.  Little to sweet for my taste.  Overall service was good and staff is friendly.
