Fried Chicken.
Starving, we wheeled into the Grover Cleveland rest area in search of food and relief. Luckily, this rest area had a Roy Rogers inside and which we do not have in NY any more (or at least Long Island) and because I was itching for fried chicken, I sauntered over.
They are known for fried chicken and on that note they delivered superbly. After ordering and eating did I begin to think of the consequences of eating greasy fried stuff while wearing a suit, but that didn't deter me from tearing into that chicken.
Crispy, oily and tasty is all I can say. The fries I grabbed from under the heat lamp did not fare as well – although the horseradish sauce helped on that account.
Was it healthy? No chance. Was it delicious? Absolutely.
