  1. Oh yes, Royal Warsaw!!!

The Royal Warsaw is an upscale Euro chic Polish restaurant, that not only serves Polish cuisine, but also serves a selection of American and French dishes.

The Bison Grass Vodka cocktails is off the chain!  It's a simple cocktail: Bison Grass Vodka and apple juice.  This particular vodka gives the cocktail a vanilla, cinnamony, flavor plus, the apple juice makes it a very nice drink.  The beer selection is okay, it's a few domestics and European beers which do pair really well with the Polish cuisine.

I highly recommend the Royal Plate as an appetizer,  but only if your with a group larger that four.  The Royal Plate is this massive Appetizer, that's more than a sampler, comes with pretty much all the tasty food that you would expect at a Polish restaurant.  It has meat and potato pierogies, kielbasa, potato pancakes, stuffed mushrooms, and zapiekanka (Also,  Mozzarella sticks and Onion rings).  Plus, it's served on a silver plater which is baller as hell.

So far, I've been here twice and both times I got the Schabowy Moskvian style, which is this massive breaded pork chop served with fried sauerkraut and mashed potatoes.

If you come here bring your appetite!

  2. Royal Warsaw served up some pretty awesome Polish food!

Walking in I was impressed as Royal Warsaw is a nice looking restaurant with a very professional looking bar area prominently situated to the left of the main entrance.

Me and my sister were seated promptly in a spacious and comfortable table.  Several other parties showed up slightly after we arrived (arrived @12:20PM on a Sunday) and the ambiance was not too stuffy, yet not too casual; striking a nice balance.

Scanning the large menu we decided on the "Polish Style Plate" appetizer which provides a generous trio of Polish classics of 2 fried pieroges, 3 potato pancakes, and 2 grilled kielbasa sausages along with accompanying apple sauce, sour cream, and mustard.

It was the perfect appetizer to get your palette ready for Polish food.

Potato pancakes were very good, but I found them cooked a bit differently than some other potato pancakes I've eaten (Krakowiak for example), where the potato pancakes are made with an almost hash brown julienne style.  Cooking style aside, the pancakes were still crispy and tasty (don't be afraid to use both the apple sauce and sour cream!).

Kielbasa was some of the best sausage I've had; perfectly grilled with a nice blistered crunchy snap-to-bite skin, juicy center, and smokey flavor.

Fried pieroges were delicious and filled with a lighter than expected potato & cheese filling.

Off to a tasty start; now for the entrees:

I ordered the Schabowy Moskvian Style (breaded bone-in pork chop).

This was an impressive piece of pork at least 1-1/4" thick and cooked expertly.  The breaded outer layer was still crispy and slicing into the chop revealed the moist and tender well seasoned pork.  Considering the thickness of the chop, it showed they know how to cook a pork chop!

Served alongside the chop was some excellent mashed potatoes and fresh briny sauerkraut.

My sister had the Plate a la Warsaw which is for those who want a little bit of everything as it bestows some of the more popular polish delicacies on one substantial plate.

You have the kielbasa, pieroges, hearty hunter's stew, and stuffed cabbage.

I've already mentioned the kielbasa and pieroges, both excellent (note that these pieroges are steamed and provide a slightly different eating experience compared to the fried version; I found the steamed ones to be more home-style!).

The hunter's stew could have been a meal onto itself.  Chunks of beef and pork, some sauerkraut, all stewed with a thick tomato base; it was excellent.

Stuffed cabbage was exceptional.  I would never think to associate the word delicate with stuffed cabbage, but for these stuffed cabbages the description was apt.  Soft cabbage sealed in the most delectably light pork and rice filling which was a shocker……pork and rice aren't exactly synonymous with light eating.

There were two stuffed cabbages, but I could see myself comfortably eating at least four of these delicacies.

I didn't want dessert, but what the heck….we ordered the molten chocolate cake!

The chocolate molten cake was scrumptious.  In my opinion it was the perfect size for two people as it was accompanied by diced melon (cantaloupe and honeydew), and sizable portions of whipped cream and vanilla ice cream.

Served slightly warmed, the cake was moist and decadent.  The chocolate ganache was a nice thick liquid consistency that coated the moist cake.  Try to get the perfect spoonful of this dessert; cake, ganache, cream, and ice cream and you will be rewarded.

Service was very good as well with our very young looking waiter being perfect with timing in bringing our food and removing our finished dishes.

I also give him credit into convincing us to order dessert!

Overall a satisfyingly filling and guilty indulgent lunch!

No doubt I will stop by Royal Warsaw again, of course after doing some serious exercise LOL.

  3. Since moving to Florida about 3 years ago, and not knowing of any nearby polish food, I make it a point to fulfill my craving any time that I am back in NY/NJ visiting family and friends. Royal Warsaw definitely succeeded at filling the hole in my heart for the polish food I had been missing since my last trip.

The restaurant had a great atmosphere–upscale but still inviting. Our server was also great, very warm and friendly and extra helpful.

The food though was the best part. For my meal I went all out and had the Warsaw platter–kielbasa, assorted pierogies, gulabki…. I was in heaven! Besides my main dish, I also had a taste of the potato pancakes, gulash, and mushroom soup. It was all excellent.

Prices were very fair and the menu was expansive and had a ton of options. Definitely a place I look forward to go back to.

  4. Delicious pierogies and bread. I tried something different the other night: Zipiekanka. It's pretty much muenster cheese and mushrooms melted on French bread. Such a much healthier alternative for my pizza cravings. They have full bar and Polish drinks. Highly recommend the krupnik, which is like the honey-flavored vodka. Waiters are very nice and helpful too

  5. Dinner at Royal Warsaw feels like you've stepped through a portal straight into Poland. The majority of diners are Polish and you will likely hear "sto lat" if somebody is celebrating a birthday.

The menu consists of traditional polish foods – pierogi, bigos, barszcz, surowki, zapiekanka, i tak dalej! In addition, there's a few interesting nontraditional foods, such as "berry salmon" with coconut rice.  They also serve popular polish mixed drinks, shots (try the "wściekły pies"!!!), and mulled wines. The food is not only delicious, the presentation is beautiful as well. When you're ready for dessert, be prepared to be shown all the delicious options. All the desserts are relatively light and so tasty!

Every time I come here I am reminded of amazing memories from my trip to Poland. Royal Warsaw even keeps their prices reasonable, just like in Poland!

If you want to have a little mini immersion in Polish culture, I highly recommend checking out this restaurant!

  6. After years of wanting to try the Pierogi I finally got my chance. What a treat, they were light and airy but lots of flavor. The sample appetizer  was great but a bit greasy. The waitress was pleasant and did a fantastic job of explaining the menu. Portion sizes are huge so watch out if you don't want to leave one pants size larger than when you came in. They have a great wine and drink selection as well! Another place I need to turn into a regular spot.

  7. This is a really nice restaurant, with excellent food. I am a huge fan of polish food and this is some of the best I have had in the area. The perogis were perfectly cooked, crunchy, crispy, delicate. I also enjoyed their lunch special for 9 bucks. It includes a salad and entree. I got the polish sausage. Loves if, delicious great snap and crunch. I also got a polish wheat beer, 5 bucks for a pint. I saw someone else get the potato pancakes and they looked great. I will be back for more

  8. I love polish food and think Royal Warsaw did a really good job with their meals. My friends and I ordered an appetizer that came with kielbasa, pierogi and potato pancakes. I also ordered flaki (tripe soup) and sorowki (side salads). I thought the food was excellent.
The reason I give 4/5 is because I wish I got more food 🙂
Otherwise, the service was good and the prices are very reasonable!
