I understand busy, but when you tell the hostess you are waiting for a flight and they tell you no problem then you should feel there is no problem. This is their home right? I mean I don't tell someone who needs to use the bathroom in my home hey no problem and then let them know its broken and they have to go in the bushes outside….right?
So we sat down and then three minutes in, no waitress, no service and we left the joint. I walked right past the hostess who just sat us down three minutes before….she said "have a nice day" like we had been there for hours and ate and were leaving.
I don't know what part of this was worse, but definitely staffing is an issue here.
Well, this place has not caught onto the trend/fact that airport food CAN be good. My husband's egg scramble looked barely edible. My French toast was okay. Our waiter, however, was very nice.
This place does not belong in its location, a fast food place does. There are several gates that have very limited options to eat at. This is a sitdown restaurant trying to pump out fast food in a location where there is like 3 places to eat. You will wait for your food.
The food is okay, nothing too special as I have eaten here many of times. They have your basic burgers and other American fare. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
Minimalist. Overkill. Unhealthy. All come to mind. The choices are grim, too much food and really unhealthy. Just trying to hard, so unnecessary really. Most peeps just want a good healthy and maybe hearty breakfast. But everything came smothered in "chemical" cheese, which I opted out of. But really just not very good, how can you ruin a breakfast? And not cheap. Only plus for us was our waitress was very sweet and since Newark's food choice selection is abhorrent you are almost forced to eat here….sad so sad. I guess we are spoiled by our lovely Terminal 2 at SFO.
