  1. We've been here a couple of times in the past. It seems that whenever we walked in, we've always got the impression that business was kind of slow since we didn't see a huge portion of the tables filled. Some more tables were filled up later as the evening went on, but a general amount still remained empty. Sure we may have walked in a little early, but when we dined at another chain restaurant last month at around the same time, we encountered a wait. At least we didn't have an overall bad experience.

We got seated and waited for 15 minutes until our waiter showed up. That was kind of slow to start. He had a positive attitude throughout our experience, though. We placed our orders and then proceeded to the salad bar.

The salad bar included romaine and iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, and cucumbers. Various toppings included shredded cheese, bacon and ham pieces, and more. Of course we couldn't forget about the assortment of salad dressings. Everything looked and tasted fresh. As we ate our salads, our entrees arrived. This was also within 15 minutes.

I had the medium-well Asiago Peppercorn Sirloin Steak. It was a steak that was topped with a Parmesan cream cheese sauce and Asiago cheese shavings. I really enjoyed this! It was flavorful and juicy and wasn't salty. Based on the flavor that I tasted, it was clear to me that the peppercorns were in there, but hidden. This entree came with a choice of two sides (basic is inclusive, premium is $1 extra), or one side with the inclusive salad bar option. I chose the french fries as the one side option, along with the salad bar. The fries were just okay and tasted a little crispy, but I wasn't sure on whether or not this was fresh.

My dad had the same entree as I did, but with onion rings, and he enjoyed it. My mom had a seafood entree, also with onion rings, and she enjoyed it too. We were also served with the small cheddar biscuits. It tasted bland and a little sweet. But what we really mattered was whether or not we enjoyed our main entrees, and we did. A manager came by to see if everything was cool, and it was.

This is located inside the Union Plaza Shopping Center. If we didn't order the salad bar option, we may have waited a while for our food to arrive without eating anything else. I take away one star for that reason. But since we enjoyed the food a lot, and our waiter exhibited a positive attitude, we will plan to come back later on.

  2. I'd actually NEVER eaten at a RT's until last year. I went in because my friend from childhood worked there, and was always telling me to swing by…glad I did!

**Before I say ANYTHING about the food: the salad bar at RT is among the best I HAVE EVER HAD. The toppings are extremely ROBUST, everything is nice aqnd fresh, the there's about 9 dressings to choose from. Whenever I go to RT, I ALWAYS eat majority of meal as the salad bar, and then usually an appetizer to finish off.

The service is efficient here — nice and quick, also with a SMILE. I've gotten the triple prime burger here, and it was terrific. Other than that, the nachos are pretty delightful as well.

Surprised there's no review for this RT on 22, but HEY, WHAT'S YELP FOR HUH!? PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE.

  3. Ruby Tuesday is one of my "chain" favorites particularly due to the salad bar.  We both had special orders for our burgers and everything came out right and was also tasty.

Our server seemed a little off on her game and had to be reminded about things like drinks and refills.  She was however very pleasant.

Pulling into the parking lot can be a little tricky so I suggest entering thru the first entrance to the lot rather than the one closer to the restaurant.

  4. Someone fell out of their booth and their $5 tequila LITs are amazing.
That's all I can comment on.

  5. I do not recommend this location to anyone. Im quite unsure how theyre still in business. First time, i tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. But one or two times after that, umm NO! Its just not clean. At all. I wish new jersey restaurants were required to have grades on the window like those in new york. Any time i've gone to this location its been solely out of convenience. Dirty (ridiculously long) tablecloths, dirty booths, dirty silverware. Smh the service sucks. Food is mediocre. Best thing is the salad bar.

  6. Not a fan of this location at all. Huge fan of Ruby Tuesday though.

Came during the week to enjoy dinner and watch some basketball. Sat in the bar area. Took a while to even be recognized that we walked in. There was only one bartender and she had to man down the whole bar area. Completely understood why everything was taking so much longer but still way too long. Props to her though she held it down as best as she could.

Ordered the Big Dipper Sampler, a BBQ Chicken flatbread, and a side of mac and cheese. The Big Dipper Sample comes with loaded fries, chicken tenders, and egg rolls. The chicken was completely over fried. Egg rolls were decent. Loaded fries were decent, very salty though. Mac and cheese across all Ruby Tuesdays' are always consistent and I can always rely on that. I thought the same with the BBQ Chicken flatbread but no not really. It was super dry. The flatbread part of it was brick hard. Oh man it was just a bad dry over cooked food experience. Glad I tried this location even though it was a fail.
