  1. A Beautiful place to have a party. Everything is sparkling and tastefully decorated. They pay attention to details down to the butter which is molded with "Russo's on the bay". The service is great and the employees are very understanding.

I came for a party here in the grand ballroom and I couldn't have had a better time. There was a buffet style meal where we just went nuts on several selections from meats to seafood to pastas. The food is good but I wouldn't say this is the best food in the world. The coffee is actually kind of terrible. But you don't come to these places to eat and drink coffee….

Didn't really matter because I spent more time dancing in the ballroom than eating.  The dessert selection is so much fun. I had a cotton candy stick in one hand and chocolate fountain dipped fruit in the other. They also provided a full dessert bar and gelato and even candy/popcorn.

I would have taken one star off for the location but this place is just too nice to deserve that. They have valet service and a coat check.

  2. Granted I only experienced Russo s On The Bay for a work event I still think the service was really, really great.I have heard about Russo s for awhile now and I have also read plenty of reviews.I wonder no more, the food is excellent, great artmosphere.waiters are very attentive to your need and the décor is exquisite.I will highly recommend Russo s To everyone and have no doubt it will indeed be to their liking.

  3. I came here for a wedding and it was a great experience. From the minute we walked in to the end everyone that worked there was super friendly and attentive. There was another party going on but the rooms were so far from each other you wouldn't even notice except when I went to the bathroom since both parties shared the bathroom.
I really like the bathroom very spacious, with couches and the best part they had a flatscreen that was showing the Mets at the playoffs 🙂
Most catering halls the food is always okay and very generic however the food here was really really good. I had the Chilean sea bass as my entrée and it was delicious.
    It was a great night.

  4. Russo's is spectacular. It's beautiful and classy without being pretentious, the servers and waiters are so friendly and accommodating (our waitress offered to bring me dessert because I had to leave early and didn't want to miss the sweets – so thoughtful!), the view on the water during cocktail hour is lovely, and best of all, the food is fantastic. I really enjoyed the seafood and steak, which was cooked to absolute perfection. At your table, your drinks are constantly coming, without even needing to ask. Photographers are around asking to take your pic (no charge). I highly recommend Russo's for fancy schmancy events in Brooklyn.

  5. My son's 8th grade prom was here about two years ago but I didn't go inside when I dropped him off. Fast forward to 2016, my church's event was held here so I was super excited to have a reason to visit for myself.

Upon arriving, we were greeted by the valet staff who kindly parked my car for me and the kind doormen who held the door for us. I love beautiful businesses that take pride in their decor and cleanliness. There was a elevator waiting to take us to the second floor  to check our coats in. The coat check lady was very friendly and nice.

The bathroom was so beautiful…..yes I said it and the bathroom attendant was cordial. She had an arsenal of supplies, such as mints, lotion and so much more on deck.

As we left the bathroom to walk to the room where the cocktail hour was being held, I just admired the beautiful decor, seating and artwork.

I found a seat and proceeded to the cocktail area to sample some appetizers which were really good. The service was exceptional and the servers were on point…….great service!

The food, desserts and drinks were very good. I enjoyed everything that I ate at Russo's. What stood out to me the most here was the service which was absolutely  amazing. The phone reception wasn't really good so I asked one of the servers for the password for their wifi and she kindly gave it to me which was cool. I would definitely come back here in the near future.

  6. The cocktail hour room has a nice view of the water and boats and the Renaissance ballroom is filled with beautiful chandeliers. The bathrooms were sparkling clean. And each stall was completely enclosed for privacy.
The food itself is worth 4 stars. The cocktail hour spread is great. I really enjoyed the fried calamari, paella and eggplant rollatini. The first course during the seated dinner was a caprese salad with melon–the freshest mozzarella I've ever tasted. Next there was a pasta course which was served table-side. I  believe it was a gnocchi in marinara sauce. It was a tad under-cooked for me, but the sauce was good. For my entree, I tried the Steak, which had some nice grill marks on it. A little under-seasoned for my taste, but perfectly cooked. My boyfriend had the veal and loved it. The side dishes were roasted potatoes and spinach. The potatoes were good, but the spinach was on the bitter side. Lastly, a spread of plated desserts were brought to each table. Each plate had an assortment of cannolis, macaroons, chocolate dipped fruits, rainbow cookies–and other small Italian cookies. Everything was YUMMY!!!
Although the food was great, what makes this place EXTRA special is the outstanding service and small touches. Every employee greeted us with a warm smile. Any time we got up from the table, a waiter would re-fold that person's napkin. If you were not at the table when a course was served, then someone would cover your plate to keep the food warm. After dinner, they gave us warm towels and lemons to clean our hands.
The bathroom was spotless, had lots of marble and the stalls were private.
The drinks were flowing the entire night and we did not have to leave our tables or even ask for a re-fill. The waiter would automatically replenish any empty glass. The drinks weren't strong, but that's okay with me. The owner himself went from table to table to ask if we were happy with everything. After the party, the waiters wrapped the centerpieces for us so we could take the fresh flowers home. On the way out, we had boxed cookies and coffee to go waiting for us. Finally, the valet attendants placed car mats in every vehicle because it was raining outside. If this place were in the city, they could charge as much any 5th avenue hotel for a banquet.–The service is that good!

  7. Awesomeness!! Excellent service, amazing food! Employees are very friendly, seem very happy to work there. Food is top notch- always! I was here this time around for a charity event. They had about 5 or 6 selections on the menu- chicken, steak, fish, eggplant being the ones I remember. My whole table went with the salmon. Delicious, flaky, on point!
For dessert we had two pastry tiers on the table, filled w all sorts of Italian goodness! Drinks kept coming, without us even asking our waitress- that's what Im talking about!! The valet at the end of the night was pretty quick, can't complain.
Overall this is very beautiful & classy place to throw a party, & your treated as such!!

  8. One of, if not the best, large catering hall experiences I have ever had. Be it the buffet type of the standard two or three choice sit down dinner the food and service do not usually scale up with quantity. At Russo's on the Bay, however, both seemed to scale up beyond what many restaurants offer for personal service.

Everything across the board was really quite amazing. From the venue itself, valet parking, the food, the service, and so on, I kept being surprised as to how much attention to detail was expressed. Even some things I have actually not seen anywhere before like napkin changes at different course points during the meal.

On drink service they remembered what was ordered and kept your glass full. Though there was wine at the table, as seems to be a regular thing, they made sure your glass was full if you started using a bottle. Even with everything being taken care of there were still people around asking if there was anything else they could do.

The truly amazing experience was having a meal selection for the main course that is equal to some smaller sit down restaurant menus. Beyond this there is the crazy, over the top, entrance production available for events that make it look like you are on a TV show but all of that stuff would be meaningless without the outstanding food and service.
