Hey, what a find! Passed by this place a few times during lunch break but just noticed they have a really nice happy hour special.
For happy hour: $6 drinks, $4 appetizers. Wasn't all that hungry so figured I'll enjoy a small glass of wine with a little nip before heading back to work. I instead got served a generous pour of a strong Cabarnet and 4 well topped slices of bruschetta goodness. Bread is toasted well, holds the ingredients as well as you can hope for that kind of meal. Extremely satisfied.
Service is super friendly and the location is nice and airy – great for a summer afternoon. Yes, the restaurant is hard to get to, but I personally work closeby, so this will be my late lunch standby.
My friend had come into town for the afternoon and had several errands to run in Soho so she had the name of a restaurant which was closed but nearby was Sacco and Vanzetti-it
was a nice little place in a non crowded part of Spring Street-West Soho just past the Trump Soho hotel. We sat down inside and the waitress attended to us immediately. My friend got a small caesar salad and chicken parm. I got a salad with mixed greens, dried fruits, wheatberries etc. It was delicious and my friend was very happy with her choice. It was a nice place to happen upon-I would recommend and return
Really lovely place. The fiancee and I were hoping to scope out the Ear Inn a few doors down as a potential wedding venue, but alas, it was absolutely mobbed by a be-suited afterwork crowd that spilled onto the sidewalk. Off we went to S & V.
The night was warm so we sat outside. There was only one server available, but he was super nice. The menu was pricey and we stuck with the pastas (which are in the $19-25 range). They were, however, very good. Linguine with Manila clams, garlic, parsley, and hot chilies was a no-brainer, but there are other appetizing items on the menu. If I were to come back and splurge, I'd definitely want to check out the grilled octopus app (clocking in at $18).
The waiter gamely invited us to come back for their happy hour, when there's free pizza along with wine specials (check with S & V for exact times). I'll have to do just that, though coming in for a $$$ dinner is also tempting given the quality of the menu.
My mouth walked into a food paradise coming into this place. Michelle the beautiful waitress greeted us and took care of us. This place is designed so adorably and the menu is perfectly small too. I had a salad and a cavatelli (think that's how you spell it). Then we had one of the best cappuccinos I have had in a long time. Made right with cinnamon and served with fresh biscotti. Loved the size of the pasta dishes. I don't want a huge amount of food I would dare say most people in America are sick and tired of flavorless quantity. This was the perfect size. Amazing food. Made my mouth moan with enjoyment and a cool find that we found on a hunch.
Go here. Enjoy your life. Smile and eat great food.

Came here with some friends and family due to the location being close to one of their jobs. This seems like a pretty underserved area, restaurant-wise. Bartender was ultra friendly, made a pretty decent martini with FEW gin (I love FEW's whiskey, had never even SEEN their gin before. It's pretty unique tasting. I say give it a try).
The bread basket (as you know, of crucial importance to me) was DELIGHTFUL. Fried pita bread with a rough, textury hummus, that was refilled ASA we finished the first basket. MORE RESTAURANTS – DO THIS.
The clams casino was pretty run of the mill, but I wouldn't kick it out of bed, unless it started to get too clammy and disturbed my slumber. The caprese salad was excellent on the mozz side (buffalo) – creamy and milky, more like a burrata than regular mozz. The tomatoes were…never as good as the tomatoes you deserve with a caprese salad. The calamari was well-made, not chewy, not slimy, and there was a nice aioli with it that could have used more of a kick – it wouldn't kick me out of bed because it lacked the energy.
Bucatini amatriciana was very rustic – large chunks of onion and tomato and possibly pancetta (not guanciale, but hey). On the smaller side for a red sauce joint, but filling if you use Bread Basket #2 to scoop up all the chunks of tomato and onion.
Pasta special was a lobster tagliatelle in a cream sauce, possibly with brandy. It was very serviceable, and contained about as much lobster as you expect for the price (which was reasonable, so….I have no complaints).
Chicken parm was definitely on the upper end of red sauce parm – large, crispy, mounds of cheese, nothing congealed, chicken was tender. This might be the go-to dish here.
Salmon was slightly overcooked, but definitely not the worst salmon you had (that's the one your coworker microwaves at lunch every day with no regard for ANYONE. Asshole.)
In all, I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way, but if I were in the hood, like going to SOBs or something, I'd definitely come back. If I lived here, I'd be having martinis and calamari here on the regular.
