  1. Decent Vietnamese food but poor customer service.  They don't pay attention to their customers' request.  Initially, they were horrible in service but I guess maybe the waiters had an off night.  My family and I decided to give them a 2nd chance and let's just say it almost the same.

  2. I only come here when my friends want Vietnamese food. I think the food here is just really mediocre. For someone that eats a lot of homemade Vietnamese food all the time, this place just doesn't hit the spot for me. I always feel that something is lacking in the flavor for everything I've tried here. I much prefer Vietnamese restaurants in NYC or Cali.

They do have a better interior than most Vietnamese restaurants I've been to, I'll give them that. I never really expect amazing ambiance for Vietnamese restaurants because Vietnamese food is pretty cheap. Some Vietnamese joints just look like a hole in the wall with white florescent lighting (you have to ask yourself if you're at an office or a nail salon?) and sticky tables. It's relatively clean here.

Service here is subpar. You pretty much have to seat yourself when you walk in. I always have to ask to get my water cup filled too because they never come around to do it. At least its BYOB? Food does come out pretty fast every time I've been here so that's always a plus.

  3. I have been to both locations, but this review is specifically for the Route 46 location. I must say, there were only 2 other people eating here when we were seated and I was a little uneasy at how empty it was. But now that I've eaten there, who cares! Less busy, better service for me! I'm just kidding though, I would love to see this business flourishing. All of the staff was very friendly and polite. We planned to order one very large pho bowl to share, but the waiter explained to us that it is probably way too big and showed us the bowl sizes. He was very right, haha, so we ordered a medium beef pho, 2 plates of other food, and tea. I have to say that everything we ate was absolutely delicious, full of flavor. I wish I could eat here twice per week. Staff made sure we were well-attended. I also really loved the decor and interior design of the restaurant, although it is small. I was too full to order dessert, but I will be back very soon to explore more of their menu! Definitely worth checking out.

  4. I have never been a big fan of Pho before coming to Saigon. Saigon is located in a very busy strip mall next to a bunch of stores including shop rite. I seem to keep coming back here whenever I am in the mood for something filling but also decently healthy. I also love their prices. Under 10 bucks for the largest bowl of Pho you have ever seen. their appetizers are a little more pricey as you get small portions for the price. All of the ingredients are amazingly fresh as well. Their bean sprouts, jalepenos, and bail are among my favorites. Not to mention all the sauces that they provide. The menu is so extensive so I haven't nearly explored it as much as I would like. I have had the banh mi and almost every type of Pho. I have never gotten one dish that I didn't like. The atmosphere is also very authentic. I def step away to a different place for a while when here. I love getting to customize my own dishes which is why Pho is so great.

Siagon Pho gets 3 stars because the waiters/waitresses almost always get something messed up which makes the lunch take longer. This is unappealing especially when you have to get back to work. They always fix their mistakes as soon as possible which is very nice. It would just be helpful if they understood a little more English.

  5. Convenient location right off of Route 46, in the same complex as Shoprite, Noodle Chu, and Home Depot.

Pretty clean on the inside and there's been attentive service every time I've been there. I've only gotten the pho, vermicelli, and summer rolls here and they were just like every other Vietnamese place around here. To be honest, I can't really tell much difference between the pho here and the pho at Viet Ai or Lemongrass.. I guess it's somewhat hard to mess up?

It's a TEENY bit pricier than others around the area, but I'll pay the $1 extra to get there 10 minutes sooner (this is the closest place to Montville)

Usually come here for weekend lunch and it's never ever packed

  6. Came here this past Sunday looking for a new pho place in the area. I'm a fan! The service was very fast and attentive. I started with the 5 spice pork roll and summer roll. Both were really good and fresh, can't wait to order them again.
I got to special pho with the pork chop on the side. The pho was very good but the pork chops were a little dry.
I ordered the chicken and pork banh mi to go. They were okay. My recommendations would be to definitely add in more pickled vegetables and cilantro and to not put that curry spice on the chicken. It totally threw me off

  7. This place has decent food as far as the area goes. The service is not that great as it really as a sit down, order, and bill out the door. They don't really pay attention to the patrons unless you flag them down. For some people who likes to eat and not be bothered then this the place for you. I usually order the rice and pork dish or the grilled pork and spring roll vermicelli noodles. The place is modern with a TV but not a place to watch a football game or hang out. I live in north jersey and drive down here for Vietnamese food as there really not any good places around here to eat. They are a bit more expensive but most places are raising their prices anyway.

  8. One of the few Vietnamese restaurant in the area… and i think this maybe a little better than the rest of them…
the decoration inside is pretty nice, there's a huge tv in the back wall and seems to have football on all the time… the floor sometime feel slippery depending on the time and day… but i don't feel dirty…
They have a big selection on their menu — from their appetizer to pho (noodle soup) to rice dish and entree… you can try all you want if you have the stomach for it… In a cold day, i always go for pho… and in a hot summer, i would like to go for cold noodle…
I like their broth… and i could easily finish the whole bowl of soup with noodle… you can also choice your size (medium large and extra large with couple dollar different…) and if you are very hungry… it's worth to get the extra large…
I don't really like their rainbow ice compare to other places i've been… theirs are a lot more bean… so it's more of a food then a drink… i could be wrong, but i just personally like it when i can drink then i have to scope and eat… (personal preference)…
