  1. Ive only been here once.  I think it has a new name but I liked my dinner.  Sushi was good and service was good too.  However… everyone was chinese!  Customers, staff, etc!  I too am chinese and went with another chinese person for dinner.. so it was a-ok but what are the odds?

  2. Management has changed for a while now and it's abysmal. The person at the counter is rude and incompetent. I've dined in and ordered a lot less now. Service sucks. The guy is pretty nice. All the females are bitches. They've changed the spicy tuna roll to not having avocado or cucumber in it which sucks big time. It was the reason I loved it. Think I need a regular sushi spot.

  3. Monday's are usually quiet. The subpar temperatures don't help either. This is a must visit neighborhood joint with a great menu for lunch and dinner. Tonight we frequented for dinner. We had the tempura udon, nabe udon and salmon teriyaki. A lot of food for two, but it was cold and the staff was not judgy!

    All three entrees come with miso soup or salad. We had one miso soup and two salads. The miso soup had great flavor and depth. Chunks of tofu and seaweed at the bottom and fresh scallion sprinkled on top. The salad greens were fresh and crisp dressed in carrot ginger dressing.

    Tempura udon came with tempura shrimp and vegetables on the side to prevent sogginess. Noodles had great chew. Ditto with the nabe udon. That came in a cauldron and can easily feed two. There was cabbage, sprouts, chicken, egg, carrot and sprinkled with scallions too. The broth was hearty and rice for this cold evening. The salmon teriyaki came on a sizzling hot plate on a bed of onions soaked in delicious sauce and a side of white rice. The salmon skin was crispy. The fish filets moist. The onions cooked nicely. A great meal with great customer service.

  4. This sushi restaurant is cheap and satisfying. My spicy salmon rolls were $3 each. The rolls are a good size, and the fish is a good amount.

    Waitstaff is friendly and always making sure everything was fine. Convenient location across from shopping areas.  There are meter parking spots outside.

    Only place I've seen so far, with a bonsai tree on the wall.

    If ever you are around this area, I highly suggest eating here over any other sushi spots.

  5. Hate to see great places fall off.  I moved to a different neighborhood and decided to come visit and bring my fiance to one my favorite sushi spots by where I grew up.  Maybe the management changed, but it was overall just a bad experience.  The sushi wasn't fresh, all the waiters have been changed, and the seats in the restaurant are so worn and broken.

  6. This Sake Sushi in Queens must not be mistaken by the All You Can Eat Sake in Brooklyn!

    My Fiancé and I were around the neighborhood during lunchtime and decided to give this sushi place a try.. Good thing we did because we loved both of our lunch specials.

    ~~~Outstanding Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box for lunch special!!! So Fulfilling — Chicken Teriyaki (tender and flavorful), California Roll (the right size with the right ingridients), Beef Negimaki, Shrimp Tempura, and RICE!!
    ~~~Also, the sashimi lunch special is a melt-in-mouth goodness!!!!  Totally FRESH selection of fish too!

    All lunch specials come with Miso Soup or Salad w/ Ginger Dressing AND a choice of Ice Cream!!!! I highly recommend the green tea flavor.

    Friendly staff is what we liked in addition to the delicious meal we had!

    You will not be disappointed by the food and service.

    YUP, we will definitely come back to this local Sushi place.

  7. A hidden little sushi spot in Rego park.. how did I not know about this place after living in the area for so long?

    The moment you step in you're greeted by a large fish tank with the cutest guppies you've ever seen.. We were seated right away, served hot green tea and water (lemon in mine of course). The initial seating process really makes it or breaks it for me.. I'm one of those people who enjoy the experience from the moment I enter a restaurant till the moment I leave.. I have to say that my experience here was a positive one. The waitress was extremely polite, attentive and efficient at her job.

    The menu has a lot of variety even for the pickiest of eaters.. Varying from soups, salads, appetizers, rice bowls, specialty & regular rolls, noodles and full course options.. I believe anyone can step in here and leave satisfied for whatever their hunger level may be.

    Now for the food- I ordered a mushroom soup (huge portion for $5.50), a simple avocado roll ($3.00) and a green tea ice-cream($3.00) which I told her to bring out at the same time as my meal 😀 I have to say my soup was seasoned to perfection, they weren't stingy with the amount of mushrooms they used and it wasn't too hot to eat from the moment she set it down in front of me! We had edamame beans to stare and they weren't steaming hot or overly salted (again, another plus). My mother has a tuna tar tar salad with crunch & a salmon tempura roll (her two favorite options where ever she goes) and she was not let down. And then a family friend ordered 8 different pieces including yellow tail, salmon, shrimp and tuna.. (A bit too raw for my liking) however she enjoyed it. For dessert, my mother decided to order a fried green tea ice-cream for herself and the way her eyes bulged out of her face when they brought it was priceless.. she cut into the fried fluff ball containing the ice-cream with her spoon and scooped up the perfect ratio of green-tea IC and fried dough.. Lets just say it was gone after a minute..

    Overall, this place was satisfying, not too pricey and the food is also tasty. I would recommend it to those looking for a cute, conveniently located sushi spot in the Rego Park/ Forest Hills area.

  8. Ordered delivery on a Sunday night.

    The prices are amazing but the food… Not so much. We ordered the yellowtail scallion (the fish wasn't fresh and they forgot the scallion), spicy tuna, salmon & cucumber – again the fish wasn't that fresh.

    Husband ordered eel & cucumber (he said it was good), rock n roll (eel, salmon skin cucumber & avocado – he didn't like that roll at all), and panther roll (salmon and eel with flakes and tobika – decent roll).

    It took about an hour and half so maybe the fish went bad sometime along the way. We are willing to try dine in, but for delivery, we may have to choose somewhere else.
