  1. Home of the bomb hero sandwich! Now as far as I remember there are no seats to sit here so this is strictly a takeout place, also last time I was here it was cash only but it's been a while since I've been here so it might have changed, ok so if you think a subway sandwich is a hero, prepare to be blown away! It's on a huge hoagie roll and topped with more meats than I can name, at least a few types of cheese, oil and vinegar, onions, lettuce, tomato etc, of course you can have them make it however you like, I can eat a lot but 1/4 to half of this sandwich can fill me up and I've never been able to finish the whole thing in one sitting, while I love this sandwich I don't eat it very much just because of all the meat this thing would raise my blood pressure, I have it on occasion, that being said those with low blood pressure (lol), those who want a challenge or those who just want to try a great sandwich should definitely check this spot out

  2. Price update: The Bomb is now $9.50. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up because I see older prices in the photos so I don't want people to see those and get confused. I was just there last week so my info is pretty up to date. Either way it's still totally worth it as the sandwich weighs quite a few pounds all by itself.

I made a rookie mistake, and I was really hungry and I forgot to take a pic of our sandwiches but I assure you they were huge. They also have big bags of chips for $2 and they stock the butter pretzels that I love. The line and wait took a while but it was well worth it. They had at least 5 guys working behind the counter and they were all super busy.

All the meats are top quality. The bread tastes pretty fresh, not exactly straight out of the oven fresh but we did arrive towards the later part of the afternoon so it was probably sitting around for a while. One hero from this place could easily feed four people, especially the bomb because its excessively loaded with so many toppings. They have a really good variety of meats, easily equivalent to what they stock at a full service supermarket deli.

If I am in the area I will definitely be back!

  3. I don't have anything else to add that has not been said already. Such a great deal for a delicious enormous sandwich. The place is always poppin' and they go through everything really quickly so you know it's all fresh. The bread is soft, meat tasty and the lettuce/tomatoes/veg condiments are all fresh. It all comes together to a great local spot.

  4. Amazing sandwiches, what else is there to say? They're known for their sandwiches, a and they make them damn well. Great value for the price. One sandwich is enough food for two days. Know what you want tho, the guys aren't the nicest, don't expect a smile, but they make a mean sandwich.

  5. a lot of people order the bomb but I like to get my sandwich custom made. I love getting the prosciutto, honey ham and turkey with lettuce tomato and mayo on a hero with oil and vinegar and pepper jack cheese. oh man it's so delicious I want one right now as I write this review! the workers are also very friendly here. too bad parking sucks and no standing up front. seriously I travel 20 min to get this over the 5 min drive to cherry valley.

  6. The bomb is still a good bargain at $10 for this huge sandwich. Throw in some cape cod chips for that extra crunch.

  7. Are you kidding me? That sandwich was 2 meals.  I live in CA and I miss NY delis and places like this.  I want to fly in and out of LGA all the time so I can swing by here.
Cash only, but their ATM doesnt charge a big service charge.  Tiny place, gotta take it to go.  The guys are on people so they can get in and out.  I bet if you are in a rush, you could be in and out in 10 min.
Parking does suck.  I parked 2 blocks away after driving around for 10 min but it was worth it.

I wish this place was in CA.  I would be there everyday.

  8. Everything about this place is awesome. The Bomb is just that…the bomb. The sandwich is huge! Every bite you take causes the  fillings to drip out the sides, because the sandwich is stuffed full of deliciousness. The guys who work here are really nice and move quickly. Whenever I crave a hero, I skip every single sandwich shop close to my apartment and walk the mile and a half here.
