I wish I had a better experience at Salud, but I didn't. We came on a Thursday evening and the restaurant was kind of busy. We were seated in a nice booth in the corner and had to wait quite a while until we were given water or able to order a drink.
When we got the menus, the options were kind of limited, especially because they didn't have about six options from the menu available at the time. I felt like anything we asked for was not available. Out of the four appetizers we wanted to try, only two were available. We were able to order the cheese platter and the mini churrasco, which was really delicious. The appetizers were my favorite part of the meal.
As entrees I wanted the kale salad and my boyfriend wanted the pork chop, both of which were not available. I settled for the asparagus salad with grilled chicken and my boyfriend got the chicken entree. I did not like the way the chicken tasted or how it was cooked, so all I ate was the salad part and that was very small. My boyfriend said his chicken was okay but very dry.
The restaurant it self was very nice, with great decor and the service was okay, but I would not come back.
From beginning to end everything was on point which is surprising considering they just opened. What stood out the most was the food. It was delicious. The two items that stood out the most were the mini churrasco and the lamb meatballs. I could of just ate those two things all night. So full of flavor. The service was excellent. polite not overbearing, attentive and sweet not to mention very good looking. The mojito was very good you just want to eat the sugar cane it comes with. The red sangria not so good. Too sweet for my liking but some girl friends I was with didn't seem to mind. This place makes a great date spot or a night out to eat with friends. I really hope they do well. The food is excellent the service is quality and the potential for this place is great.
I came to salud on a weeknight with my friend. The restaurant is pretty classic looking, but nice. They had a special if you order two entrees or two tapas and one entree to share, a bottle of wine will be half price. That was awesome because the bottle we chose was 58 dollars so we paid half of that. The menu is very nice with many options. They have many tapas and a few entrees. My friend and I shared the mussels. They were in a white wine with fennel and sausage. They were very tasty. We also shared the Serrano ham with tomato rubbed bread. We loved this because it reminded us of when we were in Barcelona months prior! We also shared the chicken entree. It was served over potatoes and onions. It was delicious. Overall we really enjoyed the meal and I would definitely return.
Came here for the second time and was less than impressed with the food here, in fact disappointed. I came here on Mother's Day with my family and no one was happy with their dish including me! The brunch was not up to par at all. I don't know what happened to this place from the time I came here opening week till now but it has declined. I ordered breakfast tacos and it just wasn't good. Pancakes were cold, rice & beans were bland and the shrimp was just outright bad. Im so sad that I have to update this place negatively but I have no intension of coming back here. I was really surprised to see all of the negative reviews after coming here and having an enjoyable meal but I understand it now. Im honestly speechless as my entire family was disappointed. I hope that this place can pull it together fast.
