  1. This bakery used to be really good in all areas many years ago. Nowadays I think it's gone to the pits.

I find their customer service is lacking, when you call you are greeted by someone who sounds like they hate their job and don't want to help you, you have to wait forever for them to come back on and then they don't answer your question.

I find the bakery is frugal with their products and the baked goods aren't as tasty as before and the presentation is terrible.

They won't take custom orders short notice for certain people but they would for others.

They are a tad bit outdated and should up their game.

  2. I'm a huge fan of older styled bakeries.. Seeing Sapienza for years in my friends former local paper, I made a note of it.. obviously Italian.

Have stopped in twice though not nearby and both times very pleased to find some of the traditional Italian bakery items.. St. Joseph, cannoli cake, but what was really appreciated was a Napoleon like pastry with a layer of chocolate cake, and custard and some good cookies/biscuits to go with coffee/ tea.

This is a reliable place reminiscent of old fashioned bakeries.

I appreciate these small town non chain places…

  3. Simply irresistible! So good. I love their gelato selection in the summer. The lemon cookies are great too! Such a friendly staff 🙂

  4. If you are looking for a traditional, old-school Italian bakery, you have found it.  When you walk in you are treated to the sweet aroma of cookies baking in the oven. If cookie monster went to rehab, he would have a serious relapse walking into this place.

They always have samples for you to try.

The Italian cookies are rich and battery. The rainbow cookies or moist and delicious. The cream used for the Napoleons and the cannolis is second to none. My personal favorite from here has to be the Napoleons!

When I am ordering here, and the girl asks me if I want anything else I have to restrain myself from ordering more yummy's.

If you are trying to go carb free or you are on a strict diet, then he'd my warning, stay away from this place!

  5. Excellent cookies, cakes, and pastries.  A solid Italian bakery I always fall back on as my go-to spot when bringing goodies to a dinner party.

  6. Two words: cannoli and sfogliatelle. I come here almost exclusively fo those two items. They are always fresh and delicious. The cannoli shells are made fresh and are filled to order. Delicious thick vaillla chip filling with a crispy outer shell. Absolute perfection.

  7. I really like their chocolate mousse cake and their cannolis.

  8. This is one of the best Italian bakeries ever, and the fact that it is kosher absolutely endears this place to me. Sapienza's is my go-to place for cannoli, sfogliatelle, lobster tail, and rum baba. I wish they made cassata and other Sicilian desserts, but what they do offer, they do a great job at. This is a great bakery, and I look forward to coming back.
