  1. Sarku serves fast food chicken covered in teriyaki sauce that you can buy at the super market. Not good, not bad, but most importantly, not expensive. You can have a filling meal for less than $10. I usually get the chicken teriyaki combo with rice. Brown rice is an option, which is nice. You can also get noodles.

I've had a spicy tuna roll. I'd pass on sushi at this place.

  2. There's not much to be said that hasn't been mentioned already – they're really skimpy on the meat considering the price at a fast-food place, and none of the food was good at all. I've had better sushi at extremely-subpar buffets. If I'm at the Bergen Town Center, I'll definitely choose the BBP or Qdoba – or even the Pei Wei Diner – over this place.

  3. i had chicken and shrimp teriyaki with vegetables and noodles. it's fast and good food.

  4. This is the worst Sarku I've ever been to.

REALLY stingy with portions, MORE expensive than nearby Sarkus (like the one at Garden State Plaza), rice was dry and overcooked, barely any meat. They're so blatantly cheap with their portions it's not even funny.

They're only in business because BTC doesn't have a food court. If they did they'd be long gone by now.

  5. This place is okay but like the other people on yelp they are cheap with the portions. Also, they are expensive ordering for a family of four is close to 30 bucks and for that I can go to a buffet and eat all I can eat. We go here because it's convenience because the Bergen Mall does not have much selection with the food. They food is edible but way over priced.

  6. I'm feeling generous here with 3 stars.  I'd really rate it 2.5.

Located in the Bergen Mall a decent is Japanese food.  For deluxe bento box, you get a choice of chicken, beef, or shrimp teriyaki or tofu (for vegetarians) with rice or lo mein noodles.  The bento includes 4 California sushi pieces, 2 shrimp tempera, sweet potato and zucchini tempera and mix vegetables.  It sounds a lot but the portions are small.  The deluxe bento is priced between $8.50 to $10 which is average pricing considering other food court pricing.  For example, you can go to Whole Foods (across from Sarku) and spend $12 for salad only.

However, I'm disappointed that this place doesn't serve kids meal anymore.  I really don't understand why they got rid of it either especially when there's families with small children coming here to eat.  It's so inconvenient to buy one adult size and ask for a plate to split up the portion for the kids.

  7. The food here is pretty bland and gross. It's your typical below-average mall food, but much closer to the bottom of the spectrum as far as mall food is concerned.  I'm sure that shoppers go here purely out of convenience.  You're much better off walking down to Bobby's Burger Palace or picking up some prepared food at Whole Foods.
