  1. Not a lot of vegetarian options but I was pleased with the Yonz. Almost $10 for a burger but it was good I can't complain. I do however wish they had more of a variety to chose from.

  2. Everything kind of tastes the same.  Almost everything is fried.  And since it's all fried in the same place, it all tastes too similar.  It's a one note eatery.  The best thing I had was their house made lemonade.  The fried pork belly sandwich was way too rich and dripping in fat, the lettuce and pickled tomatoes on top were too vinegar-y and sour (and I'm a person who really likes pickles and sour things).  The sandwich would have been better without the pickled tomatoes and vinegar based lettuce.  Sandwiches were huge.  If you get one, share it.  It was just ok.  Nothing special.

  3. Since moving to the area a few weeks ago, I keep returning to Schnitz.  Not only have they made schnitzel great again, but they've made sides great too!  The fries are spicy, the brussel sprouts crispy and awesome, and I cant speak to the other sides but I am sure they are great too.

The only thing that wasn't great was that a lot of dark meat is used in the sandwiches, but that may not be a problem for you.  Im just not a huge fan of dark meat.  Maybe its a bit pricey, but great place to get a shnitz sandwich.

  4. I've walked by this place a ton of times and always wondered what they made. Then I had a friend recommend the bamberg sandwich and he wasn't wrong at all. This sandwich was great. It comes on a pretzel roll which is amazing and a great crispy piece of chicken. There's a bunch of other stuff on top but not sure what it really is haha.

This is a great place to get a sandwich if you're in the EV.

  5. I would rate Schnitz four and a half stars.

The focus of Schnitz's menu are schnitzel based sandwiches. The seasoning on the schnitzel is delicious. It's lively with herbs along with a perfect balance of seasoning. The meat is perfectly fried so that the inside is juicy but the breading is crispy. I'd come back for the schnitzel meat alone.

The sandwiches are on a fresh pretzel hero. I had the sweet onion sandwich which was fantastic! I would highly recommend it.

They have several craft beers on tap as well as some board games available which makes it a cool place to hang out after having a bite.

  6. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of one is because the bread is delicious and the quality of ingredients is certainly there however the sandwiches need more filling!

I have been here three separate times and it's the same issue every time. I went there today and got a Schnitz that had a tiny layer of sauce, no more
than 8 thickly sliced strings of cucumber and that's it! Every time I leave here hungry, I can't figure out why I keep coming back. The Schnitz is paper thin as well

These sandwiches either need more ingredients, a fatter Schnitz, or they really need to start stacking on what the current ingredients are.

  7. Excellent sandwich shop in the fEast Village. Schnitzels feature prominently.

I had the Bamberg (BAM! …like Emeril) which was a schnitzel topped with pickles, radish, ginger, and a very tasty mustard. Not sure what they put in that sauce but it was fantastic.

I also had a cup of their mint lemonade which was very refreshing and just the right balance of sweet and tart.

The prices are a little up there, but you are getting a premium sandwich.

Great lunch spot, would eat here again!

  8. I loveeeeeeee Schnitz.

This is THE best spot to have in your hood/in your seamless delivery zone.

Their sandwich combo meal is pricey but well worth it given their high quality ingredients. I've tried just about all the sides: the mediterranean salad is uber fresh and kale salad great too. However, Aba's chicken soup if my jam. I could eat a gallon of this stuff. SO perfectly seasoned and they serve it will these tiny croutons that are so much better than normal croutons, not sure why. It's my favorite soup I've come across in NYC and I crave it constantly.

also, all sandwiches should be served on pretzels buns
