So how does this guy who doesn't eat seafood end up at seafood city? Happy hour is how! This was my second time coming here and first thing you have to know is this is cash only! They have an ATM inside but it's one of those no name ones, anyway there is a huge free parking lot in front, the ambience is ok when you first walk in you see places to order food on the right and cafeteria style seating on the left and straight ahead is the outdoor area, it's a chill spot that gets more packed as the night goes on especially on a Friday. As for food I had a Philly cheesesteak with fries which was surprisingly good for this place, my favorite thing here was the Henny colada, Hennessy and a Pina colada? Can't go wrong
Been here a few times and love the cafeteria concept. The food is always fresh and the portions are huge! Drinks are delicious but in my opinion a bit pricey for the amount you get (The Henny Coladas are over $10 for a pretty small cup). There is outside seating, which is awesome when the weather permits. Nothing fancy, it gets extremely busy and loud and parking can become an issue as the evening rolls in, so if you're not into that go earlier in the day. Other than that, it's all good. If you're into seafood, you'll enjoy it here.
Came here in on a Friday night by suggestion of a local. The prices were cool and it was packed and the other reviews stated. We sat outside and I felt like I was sitting back in my highschool cafeteria. It wasn't a bad thing, other than different groups of people playing different types of music. I liked being by the water. The bf got shrimp n fries which were good but I the Alfredo that I got was bland tasteless and a waste of money with very little seafood thus the 2stars. I would definitely choose a different place to visit on the strip.
If your looking to increase your risk of a heart attack this place will certainly assist. Mostly all fried foods. Separate long lines for different types of foods which is a pain in the a..
Cash only? Not very convenient but having 2 ATM machines – brilliant for extra revenue.
Cafeteria style with yelling of food ticket numbers every second. Bar drinks were way too strong and couldn't be consumed.
All in all a very greasy experience.
I absolutely loved my first experience here at Seafood City. I think one of the best parts of this place is that its clean and it has picnic seating. You're food comes quickly and they have a hell of a drink menu. Do not come to this place if you think you its an old fashioned restaurant style of service. In Seafood City you place your order and wait for your number to be called. You also can just come here for drinks and have a great time as well but fair warning the drinks are strong. I definitely will be coming back to this seafood heaven.
Cafeteria seating and service, it aint elegant but the broiled platter ($29) and snow crab legs ($22) are very good and full bar with slushie cocktails $7-$10. Game room for the kiddies and parking area. Outside seating by the water as well
The food here is mad good but a bit pricey. The portions are huge. I tried almost everything in the last few years! The calamari and fried shrimp is the best! I was hired to paint a couple of murals a while back! So I tried it all. Its not a romantic place. So I wouldnt show up with a new suite and a date. But If your just looking for a good time ,good seafood ,and a couple of pina coladas, this is the spot!
When I read the reviews I had doubts about visiting Seafood City. I'm glad that I changed my mind and took a chance. The drive into City Island is like a trip to upstate New York. All the twists and turns. As I turned into the spacious parking lot after reading the twinkling sign with the Joe's Crab Shack like sign, I felt like I was going into Adventure land. This place is SUPER SIZE BIG! Its a cafeteria style restaurant with a urban-seafood feel. There is outdoor seating for gorgeous beach days. The restroom is decorated like a under water Subway! It was super cool. There are arcade games for Grown-up kids and children 🙂 There are 2 separate lines for the Bar and Seafood. I ordered the Fried Lobster Tails and French Fries. They were fried to perfection and NOT overly battered. The tails were HUMONGOUS! The plate was XXL. I ordered 2 drinks for my friend and I at the Bar. The bartenders here are SKILLED and Fast! Drinks are CHEAP! $6-$10. I ordered a Mudslide on the rocks & City Island's famous Hennesy Coolada. DEEELICIOUS !!!! These bartenders are generous with the liquor and my buzz was strong enough to help me finish my super sized fried lobster tail plate. My stomach was and is still happy. The only negative here was the large crowds, loud speaker like a high school auditorium and finding a table. You cant sit next to the CooL kids in the cafeteria. Like the terminator…ILL BE BACK 🙂
