For their lunch specials they do not substitute "what so ever". They are pricier than most Chinese restaurants but it reflects on the taste and quality of their food. The place is clean the staff are attentive and the restaurant never seems to be full. Plenty of space for groups.
We had the chicken and broccoli on white rice along with the sweet and sour chicken over pork fried rice which had maybe 2 pieces of pork. Both were still made to taste great. Even their Wonton soup is enjoyable although the soup was darker than usual. Hmmmm… Anyway, give them a shot, I think you will enjoy them. Btw, they don't deliver.
Awful food, awful service, and awful people. The duck was tangy? In a bad way. The pork fried rice was greasy, and the woman who seated us was mean! She berated me in front of the whole restaurant (which was empty by the way) because we did not leave a "good enough" tip. Any other Chinese spot is better than this one, they're too overpriced..
Seem to be your basic run-of-the-mill Chinese food not great not bad middle of the road.
Maybe 2 stars seems a bit rough but time & time again I've noticed Chinese joints catering to the Americanism perspective a pure misconception of what authentic Chinese food is all about. Unfortunately this is my feel here. I didn't notice anything remotely exotic which typically scares your average non-foodie away. Prices and menu very typical. Food OK. Decor OK. Service OK.
If your into average then swing by, if you have a discerning pallet then Yelp else where.
