  1. Food is pretty good. I came in around 11:00am. Just missed the breakfast special. I had the mini sliders. Coleslaw is fantastic, fries were half fresh half stale. I found it unprofessional for the waitress to be fighting over tables. Caused a scene in the dining area. I understand that it's your tips you make but do it off the floor in a private setting.

  2. This is a tough one. In summary, two star food with four star service (and nice clean bathrooms). I haven't been to this diner in 20+ years, but it was convenient for a business breakfast, so I pointed my car south on Rt 18, and hoped for the best.
The hostess, and wait staff here are very friendly, with a good sense of humor, and the diner overall is spic & span clean.
Certainly if you go with the breakfast or lunch specials here, you can get a decent meal at a bargain price. But truth be told, I would have gladly paid a few bucks more for an omelet that had some real flavor to it. I had the Athenian omelet, and I could not detect any feta cheese in there at all, and hardly any spinach. Are they rationing feta in Spotswood these days? Is there a spinach shortage? The side of potatoes were cold upon arrival and the bacon was okay, but nothing special. With so many diners in NJ, including some really good ones, I have to say I can't really recommend you drive out of your way for this place. But if you are in the area, and are on a budget, you might find you can feed your family here fairly inexpensively.

  3. It's been a while since we visited a new diner. During my recent travels in the area, I noticed two diners, The Colonial and The Seville. So, after a recent hike in the area, my son and I stopped in at The Seville.

Got off to a poor start. The person who seated us barely said a word, tossed the menus on the table and walked off. Is it that mentally or physically taxing to wish a patron a good meal before stomping away? Just a personal pet peeve. Sorry….

All was forgotten with the appearance of Cathy. Just about the best diner employee I have run across. And I visit lots of diners. Cathy was breaking in a new trainee, Lysette. Hope she was paying attention. Cathy rocks.

We ordered our usual simple stuff. Chicken fingers for the boy. Onion omelette, well done home fries, rye toast and coffee for me. Food came out quickly. My meal was very tasty. Only downside was the rye toast was anemic and barely buttered. My son loved his chicken and curly fries. A nice moment when an extra chicken tender arrived at the table. Unbeknownst to us, my son had been shorted one tender. So, the cook sent it out. Cool.

When we paid the bill, we found that the employee who tossed our menus was on lunch replaced by a really pleasant young woman. She thanked us for coming in. That's more like it.

Nice place. Good food. Lots of chrome on the outside. We'll be back.

  4. I used to love this diner for many years. I like the fact that they have waitresses that actually know what they're doing. Didn't have to ask for anything not even napkins and she got my iced tea perfect( seriously most of them screw it up) lol. I haven't had anything else here lately except hamburgers and I don't want to base my review on that alone bc they would get 2 stars. Alot of the food coming out looked delicious, but unfortunately the burgers are sad floppy pieces of meat that it's difficult to actually make it med rare. All the flavors are there but the burger falls short, sorry guys. Next time I will try something else. But if you're looking for a decent burger thus isn't the place. So I will try again another time and try other things. I will admit the service was excellent!!

  5. I don't like Diners. This is very inconvenient being from NJ. Every now and then I will inevitably be dragged to a diner so I have a couple of go to plates. Used to be Apple Pancakes, but right now I'm an Eggs Benedict guy. More specifically I'm a Eggs Benedict over Crab Cakes guy. Seville does this dish I think a step below good (a step below well if we are typing proper English, but a step below good if we were talking.) I don't really want to give them 2 stars as they are friendly and I don't recall ever waiting too long, but I;m not going to recommend this particular item here. I've tried it twice and think I will go back to Apple Pancakes when the inevitable rolls around.

  6. We came here on a Monday night for a dinner. We were greeted by a host who told us to pick up any table that we would like.  The place is very big and we had choices of boots or tables and it wasn't very packed. I was server Rudy was very sweet and explained the specials that included soup or salad from the salad bar and a dessert after an entrée.  The specials go between $13.99 to $18.99.
The salad bar is very good.  Freshened ingredients beats peas coleslaw salad barley and variety of pasta were offered with a bunch of dressings.

We ordered a pork chop, stuffed cabbage, and the shepherds pie. They came out after we were done with salad in a timely matter, yet to my disappointment the food was just warm not hot. We digged into our plates.  I had a shepherds pie which was full of gravy and not too much beef. I would recommend the dish warmer with more meat. Ehh, I had better.  Three stars.
My mom wanted the pork chop, one half was kind of hard, another was tender and well cooked.  That was probably the best dish that we had and I would give it four stars.
My grandma had stuffed cabbage which was not what I expected.  It was lukewarm and there was just something not right about the taste.  I give it one stars.
The dessert options where bread pudding, rice pudding, chocolate pudding, or ice cream. We chose rice and bread pudding. They were all good but we couldn't finish all of it so we had to leave it. Whether he's our service was great. Rudy was excellent and definitely attentive to our needs.

Overall I would give Seville diner 3 1/2 stars.  Service was excellent everyone was friendly and our server was extremely nice. The food is okay. I guess what do you expect for Monday night dinner at a diner..

  7. I have to say I am always lucky and I always have good waitresses at the Seville, I usually get one of three that have been there a long time.  With that being said, I can't understand why they cant take my food and wrap it for me?  You are wearing a uniform, with an apron, I am wearing my clothes with plates all over my table!  I even hand them my plate and ask them to take it and they say, "I'll bring you back a box"!  Are you training them to do this?  So frustrating!

Besides that, the food is pretty good.  French toast, pancakes, and burgers are wonderful!  Their chicken souvlaki dinner was my fav but they took it off the menu.  The chicken ceasar salad was one of the worst I have ever had.

  8. When I visit NJ, I try to arrange a dinner to meet up with a group of my friends.  Since they live all over the state, Rt. 18 seems to be the most central place for everyone to get to.  That usually means the Seville Diner.

I never used to be a fan of this place, since I'm the one who always seemed to have problems there.  But I've missed the last few gatherings, and they convinced me that I should give them another try.  And this time I wasn't disappointed.

It took quite a while to study the gargantuan menu, but three of us settled on the Spanakopita, which came with a very nice Greek salad.  I even liked the dressing, which is usually too tangy for my taste.  The spinach pie was a very large triangle, and I took home half of it.  One friend ordered the Gyro platter and enjoyed it a lot.  She was able to substitute a double salad for the rice? that came with it.  I forgot what the other woman ordered, but she had no complaints.

I wish diners had wine available, but they don't.  So I had coffee, and it was decent.  Our server was very efficient, and I was pleased that the bathroom was extremely clean and well-stocked.

I'm glad it was a good experience.  Living in Vegas doesn't give me any chance to experience the quintessential Greek Diner vibe, so it was nice to come home again!  And next time I won't balk at going to the Seville.
