  1. 5 stars alone for the fact that Shake Shack made me step foot into Queens Center Mall for the time in over a decade lol. No small feat.

Not much to say, a franchise is a franchise. Pretty standard across the board (the comfort zone of franchises, as consumers we know exactly what to expect). Expected great burgers, fries, and milk shakes and got just that. Lucked out the few times I went, milk shake flavor of the week was coconut dulce de leche. Get it extra creamy, pretty much a meal upon itself.

Usually order the trusty old shack stack. Cheeseburger with a fried, thickly cut portobello mushroom stuffed in. Go for two cause one is never enough.

Lines aren't really ever that long here (weekdays, late afternoon). Also lots of seating and spacious with windows on two sides. Entrance through mall or not, it's located on a corner on ground level (next to modells) of the mall.

  2. I will never understand the appeal of Shake Shack. For the price point, I'd rather just go to Five Guys and get a thicker, tastier burger. I mean, is it better than your standard fast food joints like McDonald's and Burger King? Of course! But I don't see what makes it special, what makes it worth waiting on those lines for.

I'm giving it three stars not because it's extraordinary, but because the service here was really nice. Everyone was all smiles and very kind, which REALLY sets it apart from your other fast food joints.

The layout is a little funky, if you come through the first set of doors (not through the mall), you have to walk through the dining area and through the long line of people waiting. But otherwise even the inside is nice; clean and nicely decorated.

  3. I don't need to go to manhattan just to eat shake shack. So glad they open this location which is very close to where I live! Its inside queens mall. Place is big & lots of seating.

Came here & got the shack burger, fries & lemonade mango for drink. Burger is tender & juicy. Fries is very crispy! I'm always a fan of shake shack. But my lemonade taste very sour. I didn't taste that mango at all. Its still 4 star because their burger taste amazing! So next time I come back I'll just focus on the burger & I wanna try their concretes!

Hope that this location don't go too crazy like most of the locations in manhattan. Its always good to eat peacefully. I'm glad when I came theirs a good amount of people but line is not that long & its fast!

  4. I remember my first time at Shake Shack, it was at their Time Square location and I was really underwhelmed. I had never heard of them, despite being a native New Yorker, so I didn't have any real expectations at all. Though after taking the really long way getting there because of reasons I won't go into detail about, I was starving and did expected it to be pretty good,
However, this location changed that. I'm not a huge fan of beef, but I thought the Shack Burger is pretty good. Even my mom, who doesn't like burgers, liked the burgers here. I thought the Chick'n Shack was the best, the chicken was crispy, tender, and juicy and the pickles were crunchy and not too sour, and tomato free!
I also always get the vanilla shack despite it being overpriced compared to Wendy's frostees because how can you not?????
The place is very spacious and clean. I like the layout here more than the Manhattan locations because I'm not a fan of the benches.

  5. I'm on a Shake Shack craze as of late and I can't wait for the one in Forest Hills to open. I finally tried the Chicken Shack and it was surprisingly delicious! I had a bad feeling that they would make it dry and bland since I'm not a big fan of chicken breast, however it turned out to be very juicy. The skin was crispy crunchy while the inside was very tender. The Chicken shack price is a few dollars cheaper than the double shack burger. It's a bit small but compared to other chicken burgers/sandwiches from other fast food joints, Shake Shack got this one down really well. Make sure to ask for extra shack sauce!

I also ordered a side of cheese fries. They were nice and crispy and wavy. We also ordered a World's Fare Concrete. From my understanding, they only have the World's Fare concrete only at this location and a portion of the profits is donated to Play4Autism. The World's Fare Concrete consist of vanilla custard, matcha, marshmallow sauce and crispy crunchies. It's really thick, however it lacks a bit of the matcha flavor. The vanilla custard kinda buries the matcha.

The service and cleanliness of this Shake Shack is superb. There's always someone wiping down the tables and chairs with disinfectant wipes. The line moves rather fast and the manager is always up front and trying to speed up the process.

  6. Place is clean and lots of seating.

Burgers were good, but FRIES WERE COLD 🙁 very sad.

  7. This shake shack location deserved a five star for one reason. Their customer service. The manager asked us how we were and we explained that they got our order wrong. She expressed care and made sure she talked to the employees and even gave us free custurd.

  8. The first time I came to New York, I had Shake Shack three times in one week. I've had it well over three times now and I'll never get tired of it. It's my go to place in NYC and I'm never disappointed. Something about the soft egg bun, to the perfectly cooked meat and the perfect amount of lettuce and tomato always gets me. A side of cheese fries and a shake to top it off make me one happy camper. I don't care what anyone says about Shake Shack vs. other burger places. Shake Shack will always have my heart!
