There's two grocery stores within a block of this store that are 24 hours. Amazing as that availability is, obviously you pay for them being open 24 hours. They also tend to be smaller and not have as much selection.
Shop smart is less expensive and has more selection. You'll also find the typical Asian food stuff here.
A solid choice for non-perishable and pantry grocery items. They also have a decent stock of household items and supplies. They have a small amount of refrigerated/frozen items. Prices are cheap – much cheaper than Duane Reade on the corner. I always check Shop Smart and the discount shop across the street (next to Ludlow Fitness) before going to Duane Reade!
