This supermarket is huge! One of the biggest I've been too. When you think you are almost done there's like 5 more aisles to go. This market is located in the Gateway Mall. This place has just about anything you need in a supermarket. The selection of items is vast.
One strange thing that I never encountered before is that you need a quarter in order to unlock a cart to use. The cart will not release from the other carts of you don't. I didn't have a quarter and a stranger was nice enough to give me one. At the end of your shopping when you reattach the cart to the other carts you will get your quarter back.
shopping carts you have to find a quarter for drive me nuts, but i guess it prevents them from being stolen. great prices but you are on your own for finding everything. lots of selections and lots of products. the produce section is fairly decent with a small organic section. always a lot of bargains and sales as well as manager specials.
I'm so glad that this store is in my neighborhood. Hands down, this store has the BEST prices. You can actually see where your money goes here. There's a Dunkin Donuts located inside of the store. You can sip on caffeine while you shop……yay! This store has basically everything that you want.
Sushi, fresh complete dinner kits, rotisserie chicken, a bag of fried chicken for $6.00 and so much more to choose from. They also have hot food that is weighed by the pound. The deli section is amazing. I love every aspect of this store. The shelves are always fully stocked with goods and the aisles are clean. ShopRite is my first choice for all of my shopping needs. I'm truly happy that there is one is my neighborhood.
The staff is always helpful whenever I need assistance. They don't mind going the extra mile for customer satisfaction. The checkout lines run smoothly. I would definitely recommend this store to others.
This Jersey based supermarket is a welcomed addition to the SouthEast side of Brooklyn. For years the only "major" supermarket has been Pathmark, which is nightmarishly dreadful and Walbaums.
ShopRite provides a well stocked store with a huge variety of all items and brands. The store is fairly new to the area so the customer service is very good. You can always find a manager walking around the store or assisting with stocking items.

The quarter deposit for the shopping cart helps with the maintenance of the lot. I have never encountered long lines and waits at this store. I never go during prime shopping hours. So far this a great store.
This isn't bargain shopping, although some things are deeply "discounted" for people with ShopRite's discount card. But realize that all this means is that the items were probably too high to begin with.
Still, the store's HUMUNGOUS size and selection make it a very convenient place to shop.
The hot-food bar — at least the Chinese part that I tried — is pretty decent. There's a good variety of ready-made food, such as sushi, and meals that you can warm up.
Like Aldi nearby, you need a quarter, which you get back, to get a shopping cart.
Clean big and good prices. Very friendly staff, even. Only downside is checkout aisles are not kid friendly.
I had the opportunity to shop here with my husband and our son and I have to say we were all impressed. It's exactly the type of supermarket we have been looking for since moving back from Virginia. We have Dunkin' Donuts right at the entrance and a buffet/prepared food section and sushi. Fruits and veggies look amazing and they have a proper seafood counter/area. It's a 20 minute drive from our house to this market, but it's a drive we will happily be making again and again. I had no problems at the checkout and the cashiers were uniformed, professional and very nice and attentive and seemed happy to be there. Reminded us of markets like Food Lion and Farm Fresh. Since we can't shop there anymore, this location will definitely do.
Great supermarket. They have a nice selection of produce and the prices are very reasonable. I like to compare ads and like most people have said, they do have pretty good pricing. It's very spacious, so even when it's crowded you won't feel it. We haven't tried the sandwich bar or the hot food like sushi and such. The deli gets very crowded though so be sure to take a number.
