I just can't come back. It is torture. The staff has no idea what is going on. Ive been waiting 25 minutes for two sandwiches. And when I ask are they being made the girl says I don't know. The manager says yes they are and goes into the kitchen to find out. Much much better off just going to Port Diner. And I'm still waiting as I write this….. Looking at the filthy rags they are wiping the tables with. Don't.
The main pro to this place is my young kids love it and eat all their food, which they don't always do during meals…the food is good, not great, but is what to be expected from fast food (even from these more upscale chains like shake shack, etc).
Cons is that the place always seems dirty and staff unorganized…tables never cleaned, floors always a mess, and staff repeatedly makes mistakes with order.
smash burger is a good place to grab a burger, but not a great place.
the pros: Their milk shakes are great. Their "smash fries" are some of the best in the business too. I prefer them to other "fast food" locations. Their crispy chicken sandwich is also a treat.
the cons: the burgers are just fair. The meat is very loosely packed, and it tends to fall apart after a few bites especially with heavy toppings. They also package their burgers and sandwiches in plastic containers to go. This results in a few problems. The containers are very deep, and its hard to take the burger out of it without everything sliding around. They also have no vents, so steam quickly builds up and the bun becomes wet and soggy. It makes for a very unpleasant experience unless you're eating directly at the restaurant.
This location is pretty good though. The staff is friendly and do a good job getting the food out fast.
Smashburger is one of my favorite burger spots, but this location (which used to be my go-to) lost my vote the last two times I came here. I like that Smashburger has juicy varieties and accommodates those with a gluten allergy (Gluten-free buns available..)
However, the last time I was here, the tables weren't serviced, the prices on the board didn't match what they charged, my burger wasn't cooked all of the way, and the grease from the fries leaked out. I couldn't even eat them.
The time before that, the location was so cold that everyone was wearing coats and scarves while they ate. People requested the heat be turned on, but it wasn't. Our burgers and fries were immediately cold within minutes. We just left.
I don't think I'm going to return for the third time.
If a 50's burger joint got way into being hipster, you'd have smash burger.
This is one of those places where you place your order and they give you a little number thing for your table for a waiter to bring it to your table. I'm not he biggest fan of this style bc I could just walk the 5 feet myself, but it is a little bit of a novelty.
The burger patties are very thin and cooked kinda like a dry version of a McDonald's hamburger. They make up for the patty with great topping choices though.
The fires are the best value. Also super thin, even thinner than McDonald's, and their toppings are amazing. Usually around $2-3. So if your in the mood for just fries, this could be a great stop off.
They took the cleanliness factor and dialed it up to 11. This place is very clean for a burger joint.
Depending on how busy it is it may take a little while to get your food though. And often there are tons of small kids and teens.
Food was amazing! Service was terrible! Didn't get any of my 3 orders correct, more importantly no sense of urgency! A lot of standing around
I have walked in twice now to not a soul behind the counter.
Waited and looked around, a complete ghost town.
When I'm about to give up and walk away is when someone appears.
Work on your service….seems to be a constant issue at all Smashburgers!
Great burgers and fries! Taste fresh and never greasy. Definitely recommend over other fast food burgers in town.
