  1. Pricey, but good. Not very many options that I found and enjoyed in this area. I liked the kale salad and the chicken salad sandwich.

  2. Normally I wouldn't review a place after just trying one thing and spending 2 minutes there, but the Dark Chocolate Chip Sea Salt Cookie here is so good it warrants a 5-star review.

This is a tiny little cafe run by and frequented by hip, young people. There are two tables or so in the very tiny space for enjoying the menu of sandwiches and several other pastries and sweets.

All the stuff looks pretty good, but the thing I tried and that you must try too is that Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Cookie. When I asked for it and the guy said "$3.81", I said "this better be the best cookie I've ever had" and then I tried it and said "you got lucky."

Seriously, though I balked at that price at first, once I tried it, I realized there was no question that it was more than worth it. It's a decent size, not particularly big nor small, and pretty flat. It has huge discs of chocolate throughout, and a ton of large, coarse salt crystals sprinkled liberally. This makes it incredibly salty, but it works so well with the really rich, melty dark chocolate. I couldn't stop myself and finished it immediately before I even realized what happened.

The other stuff might be good too, but just make sure you come here and get that cookie.

  3. 3.5 stars for this COOKIE ONLY review

3 tables inside, limited seating so mostly a grab and go type of place
–sea salt dark chocolate chip cookie: a yummy cookie with a perfect balance of sweet and salty! i just wish it were warm and melty when i got it

NOTE: they were cooking up a storm int he back when i was here, they have a refrigerator case of prepared foods to take to-GO

  4. counter culture espresso, hipster atmosphere. legit. nice sandwiches, in a section that is a bit of a wasteland. check this place out, the best

  5. Really great place for lunch (if you don't mind long lines). I had the chicken salad, arugula, and cranberry sandwich and it was delicious. Bread was super fresh and the chicken salad was on point (I loved that it had dried cranberries in it). Portion size was perfect as well. Also tried the dark chocolate sea salt cookie, which was amazing and melty and addicting. Sea salt added such a nice touch. The inside of this cafe can get super hectic and the service can be a bit curt, but I recommend it for the awesome food.

  6. Good food, fast!

Good for a healthy quick meal; I especially enjoy the selection of small sandwiches.

There isn't much seating, so it is best to take your meal or snack to enjoy elsewhere. I haven't been able to come in without leaving with a chocolate chip cookie.

Also, check out their art wall. Wild and subversive!

  7. Got suckered in after seeing all the pics of T. Swift leaving her Tribeca abode to pick up muffins here.  I can see how this place would suit her persona with all the cutesy, curly rustic signage.  But for me, it left a lot to be desired.  The actual food was in a chilled case already pre-made (doesn't look like much ability to custom order sandwiches) and none of the baked good were proving particularly tempting (usual for me).  Also, the folks behind the counter kind of just gave me blank stares with no greeting or offer of assistance.  I guess they save those luxuries for Ms. Swift.  Not wanting to leave empty-handed, I ordered a lemonade ($3.50) which is tasty and hand-squeezes but packs a tart punch.

  8. Maybe it's because of the sex pistols playing in the background or the affected staff and Opening Ceremony kids in here but I feel like I'm in Georgetown in Washington DC circa 1996.  I have mixed feelings about whether this is a good thing.  They were out of vegetarian sandwiches by the time I made it after 3, but the focaccia I had instead was pretty good.  So if need to be around girls in baby doll dresses and scull caps, this might be the place for you.
