The place isn't open on Monday so I decided to take out a bit more than normal as well it would be a bit longer for me to go back. The woman in front as well as the guy in back were both very nice.
It's a bit more than some other bbq places but Ridgewood is Ridgewood and for how good the meat is, you won't mind.
The prices are a slight bit higher than other bbq places but it's worth it for the quality.
Smoked Sausage (Hot:) Quite spicy. Seems to be a jalapeno heat or something similar. Excellent snap.
Smoked Sausage (Sweet:) Excellent snap as well, pretty good flavors as well.
Brisket: Didn't need the sauce at all. Pull apart and delicious.. Great smoke as well.
Corn Pudding: Sweet with a good amount of chunks. Could maybe be a bit more crispy/thick.
Banana pudding: Solid as well.
Great place. Another stellar spot to Ridgewood.
Stopped in early in the afternoon for lunch on a Saturday. The first thing you notice is the smell of smoke, a sure sign that the BBQ is gonna be good. Unfortunately, most of it wasn't ready since they had just opened for the day. It's more of a takeout place, but there are two small tables where you can eat in. The menu features sandwiches, salads, sides, and of course, BBQ.
Since there wasn't much ready yet, I got a pulled pork cubano sandwich. It's a pretty hefty sandwich, with a lot of smoky pulled pork. Could have used a little more BBQ sauce, but otherwise a good sandwich for a very reasonable price. Prices for other BBQ items seemed in line with other places in the area.
