Pretty good meal, since it's not NYC- OK, I'm a snob!
The price range for the quality of the asian food is not worth it. I can get the same kind of food else where much cheaper. The food tastes decent. The staff is efficient but I wouldn't say the most friendiest. I have tried a few dishes and sometimes it is not what I expect. The cold noodles is decent, but the noodles are a bit thick. The portions vary, for the lunch specials. All in all I only come here if I need something quick. My coworkers dislike coming here and I work in an all asian company so it says a lot when a asian restuarant is not a go to place for asians.
My family has been coming here for years. The owner knows my uncle by name. They are always friendly and accommodating. The food is always great.
The food is delicious!! Not greasy, versatile menu, very consistent. You can get sushi rolls and what you're used to for Chinese food. It's nice to have the option to sit down instead of the usual take-out or delivery for Chinese food. My favorite is anything in garlic sauce. Delicious!
So why the 3 stars? The service is just whatever. It has only the purpose to order and deliver food. Over years of eating here that's been consistent – so I guess at least you always know what to expect!!
So Far, So Good is an excellent place to get Delicious Chinese food or fresh, tasty Sushi or rolls. The soups are nicely flavored and not too salty or overly spiced. The chef has an excellent flair for cooking everything so it's just right. Chicken with garlic, Sesame chicken, Moo Shu pork, Shredded beef Szechuan all were delicious.
The servers are attentive and they get every order right. A well oiled machine that works wonderfully. Try it.
I'm a big fan of the silly name of this place. "So Far So Good" was pretty satisfactory Americanized Chinese take-out. I ordered the boneless spare rib combination, which came with pork fried rice, wonton soup, and egg roll. I liked that the boneless spare rib was substantial and meaty (i.e., not the gross fatty pieces you sometimes see elsewhere). The downside was that the meat was not sauced in any way, so my dinner as a whole felt a little dry.
The wonton soup was perhaps a bit below average, but the egg roll was very good. Rice was fine.
Would order again.
I've been here a ridiculous amount of times in the last few years. Their portions are always large and full of flavor. They say they don't use MSG and I've never gotten a headache after eating here, so I believe them. Their sushi rolls are HUGE! A great price for a great meal.
Ate here last night with a party of 8 (3 are kids). The seating was easy. Even with a large party we were seated without a wait. This was very good and made our hungry group very happy. The waiter was very nice when we arrived and took our appeteizer and soup order first…the issue here is he did not come back for our regular orders until we finished eating our appetizers! Hello?
The food itself was good for what it was. The Chicken dumpling was good, but not much in terms of flavor without the sauce. The soup was the best part of the meal. I loved my egg drop/wonton mix. The rest of the food was generally small portions, making sharing difficult….this is abnormal for Chinese places. I was still hungry when i left. The broccoli was hard on the chicken and broccoli order. The Lemon chicken sauce was very good.
As you can see the food was generally uneven in taste. Some good, some meh, In general, it was the definition of OK.
