Honestly its a standard bar in Midtown and nothing to write home about…… so why not write to the internet? lol.
The food is not great. Greasy and cold. The servers never remembered to bring utensils, sure we will go Dark Ages up in this b**ch and eat with our hands.
The crowd is usually from out of town, which is not strange given the location of course.
The customer service here is great. We called 15 minutes in advance and they were able accommodate 14 teachers. Our waitress was amazing and the drinks were good. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with avocado and bacon, it was very tasty but the french fries were very salty.
I was here with a few friends for one of our friend's birthday and he got the top floor reserved for a couple of hours. This place is great and it has an outside and inside area so you can decide if you want AC or not, which we did because it was really hot. The bar was well stocked and the bartender was really nice and outgoing. The music was great and overall this place was a lot of fun for us on a Saturday afternoon.
The first floor looks really cool but we didn't get to hang out there because we went straight upstairs but overall this seems like a fun place to have a beer
I love this bar! It's my go-to bar when I'm in NYC, especially before a show during happy hour. The drinks are tasty and well made, and you can't beat the happy hour prices. The only complaint I really have is that the seating against the wall is very narrow and there's not much room to get comfy, so you slide off really easily. If they were just an inch or two longer, they'd be a lot better.
Great happy hour specials & cheap menu options. Our service was very attentive. I don't remember being wowed by the food, but it was satisfying nonetheless.
The rating is based on our checkout experience. My friend & I wanted to pay separately (I with my card, he with cash) and we clearly marked this on our receipt. When I handed the book to the waitress, I said, "Cash first, then the remainder on the card," and she acknowledged, "Okay!" So then why was my card charged the full amount & the cash kept as a tip? Not cool. We had a show to catch, otherwise I would have stayed to complain. Luckily, I still have Yelp's shoulder to cry on.
Been here a few times for After parties after the NYWEA conference at the Marriott. They do a pretty good job hosting parties, two bartenders, passed around trays of appetizers. Decent tap selection. The main floor is pretty big, and I have been here a few times outside of work events.
Their $5 well-drinks on a Sunday afternoon brought me in… and I enjoyed a fine Cape Cod. However, after giving me the Happy Hour menu when I asked if the specials were available at that time, the bartender wandered away for more than 5 minutes to chat with a patron at the end of the bar, even though I was ready to order. But again, my cocktail was good, a decent size, and not a weak vodka mix. Unfortunately, the bartender didn't check on me again until long after I'd finished my drink, so I was ready to cash out & move on. I'll definitely stop here again for another Happy Hour cocktail, but I'll be prepared for mediocre service.
Standard midtown bar for a Saturday night. Decent drink prices to keep your wallet happy and lots of space to spread out with large groups. Have gone to a few birthday celebrations here and found that it is very accommodating for a bigger group and has a fun vibe with a dj on Saturday nights who happily takes requests.
We had a great time last night – worth a stop if you're in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to go out here.
