  1. The Yelp rating makes this place look like a dump but it's actually quite serviceable. Friendly service, food was decent, and they kept the drinks pouring, which really came in handy. I've had worse experiences in SoHo, which cost far more.

  2. An adequate stop before our flight to Scotland; just next to the gate area.
The food and beverage quality is fair.

I'll have to disagree with others and their comments about the service.
We had a great experience from a very nice a friendly lady.

  3. There's no urgency.  Nice service, but there's a lot.of riff raff and lolly gagging.  But a 5.0 star experience is tough at an airport, so my expectations are always low.  For a place to kill some time, this place will do with their wall full of TV's playing sports.

Omelette with Bacon, sausage, cheddar, and caramelized onion, served with hash browns and toast.  Perfect omelette, delicious sausage within, I was a happy boy.

For an airport, in my humble opinion, this is worthy. Whether for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a drink at the bar.

  4. This place suffers or benefits from its location in the airport, depending on your expectations. Yes, it's expensive (all food at JFK is), yes, the service is spotty, and no, you are not dining at a 5 star restaurant. OK, that's out of the way. It's is what it is….adequate to good comfort food in an area (Gate 8) of the airport with only other fast food options. As something to pass the time and a place to chow down so that you don't starve on the plane (don't get me started on the 'gourmet' plane food cr&@), it gets the job done.

  5. Why did I bother?  I came with low expectations but how can you get eggs wrong? I ordered eggs with spinach and feta.  I wondered if the eggs were fake.  The hash browns were tasty so at least I was able to eat something.

I considered ordering the bagel u til I learned they were frozen.  The waitress said " it's the airport".  I should've cut my losses then.

When will airport food improve? For these prices the food should be decent.

These bad food moments depress me.

  6. Thanks, Happy!  Appreciate you keeping me company on a 5 hr layover.  A friendly staff helped to make the best of a bad situation.  A bottle of wine didn't hurt either….:-)

  7. I have pretty much never seen such indifferent employees ever in my life. Seriously, I really did not know that it was possible to have such indifference staff at a diner.

First off, the food here is abhorrent. There is no other way to describe it. Never spend any money here. The food is seriously just awful. Second, we sat down and for 10 minutes all the staff just milled around, chatted with one another, and didn't come help at all. This happened to multiple people who sat down around the same time. We had to self service our own menus ad ask if someone could come take our order.

They really, seriously, just don't care. And its airport prices. Shocking.

  8. Service sucks even though there are barely any people inside. Ordered a vodka, Sprite and they couldn't even get that right. Flat soda and weak drinks. Wouldn't recommend.
